Integrate Microsoft SharePoint with Zoho People to securely back up your Zoho People organization’s data to your SharePoint folders.

IdeaHow it works?
  1. Set up the Microsoft SharePoint integration in Zoho People.
  2. Configure the data backup schedule in Zoho People under Operations > Data Administration > Data BackupLearn more.
    The Data Backup feature is only available with the Zoho People Enterprise plan.

          
    If a backup schedule is already configured, once the integration is complete, backup files will no longer be sent via email. Instead, they will be securely saved in the selected SharePoint folders.

Set up Microsoft SharePoint Integration

To Set up the Microsoft SharePoint integration with Zoho People:
  1. Navigate to Settings > Marketplace > Third-party Integrations.
  2. Click  View details under Microsoft.

  3. Click Manage on SharePoint.


  4. Click Authenticate under Data Backup.
  5. Enter your Microsoft SharePoint account credentials and complete authentication.


    You will be redirected to your organization’s SharePoint folders.
  6. Navigate to the folder. At the bottom of the window, enter your preferred new folder name and click Upload here.


    All scheduled and instant (Backup Now option) data backup files will be saved in the selected SharePoint folder.
  7. To view backup files in SharePoint, copy the SharePoint folder link and open it in a new browser tab.

    The folder location and Zoho People backup files will be displayed.
Info
- If the user who configured the integration is inactive or no longer has administrator privileges, the integration will be disabled and the back up will be failed. Delete and reconfigure the integration to resume Zoho People data backup.

Change SharePoint Backup Folder 

To change the SharePoint Backup folder:
  1. Navigate to Settings > Marketplace > Third-party Integrations.
  2. Click View Details under Microsoft.
  3. Click Manage on SharePoint.


  4. Click Change Folder under Data Backup.
  5. Navigate and select the new folder. At the bottom of the window, enter your preferred new folder name and click Upload here.
    Your Zoho People backup files will now be saved to the new folder.

Delete SharePoint Data Backup Integration

To delete the SharePoint data backup integration:
  1. Navigate to Settings > Marketplace > Third-party Integrations.
  2. Click View Details under Microsoft.


  3. Click Manage on SharePoint.
  4. Click Delete Integration under Data Backup.
    Once deleted, Zoho People backup files will no longer be sent to SharePoint. Any upcoming backup files will instead be emailed to the administrators who configured the backup.
Idea
All SharePoint integration folder and integration changes are captured in the Activity Log.
