Use Case
Professional Services: A consulting firm uses Zoho Projects to track billable hours. When a time log is submitted, a workflow rule automatically notifies the project manager and updates the approval status. Once approved, a custom function updates the linked billing records.
Workflow Rules
Workflow rules for time logs are associated with time log layouts. They automatically trigger actions when specific conditions are met, such as when a time log is created, updated, or trashed. Rules can be associated with email alerts, webhooks, WhatsApp notifications, and custom functions.
Email Templates
Email templates are pre-defined email formats used for time log-related updates. Placeholders let you dynamically insert time log, task, and project information into each notification.
Email Alerts
