Define roles for users in your organization and map them to their designations. Users can be mapped to roles and profiles to set access privileges. Zoho Projects gives you four default roles (Administrator, Manager, Employee, and Contractor) which can be edited to suit specific business needs. You can @ mention roles when adding a new status or when adding comments on feeds or any project modules (except direct comments on pages, documents, and forums).

Create a role

1. Click   in the upper-right corner of the top navigation band.
   
2. Navigate to Profiles and Roles > Roles.
   
3. Click Add Role to create a new role.
   
4. Enter role Name.
   
5. Click Save to save the new role.

Edit a role

1. Click   in the upper-right corner of the top navigation band.
2. Navigate to Profiles and Roles > Roles.
3. Hover over a Role and click .
4. Edit role Name.
   
5. Click Save to save your changes.
   

Delete a role

1. Click   in the upper-right corner of the top navigation band.
2. Navigate to Profiles and Roles > Roles.
3. Hover over a Role and click .
4. Confirm your action and click Delete.
