Insights are nuggets of important information that you unlock while analyzing the highlights and correlating the relationship between different insights.
Creating insights
ResearchStudio offers the ability to:
- Create insights manually
- Generate insights with AI
1. Create insights manually
- Go to the desired projects on the left panel and click Insights under the Share Findings menu.
- Click Add an Insight.
- Double-click Untitled Insight located beside the file menu and enter an appropriate name for the insight.
- Create an insight and add supporting evidence, such as charts and images. To add a chart or image click Add in the toolbar and choose your desired evidence type in the drop down. You can also use the various built-in formatting options to create insights efficiently.
- Click the Share icon located at the top-right corner to share insights with your team members. You can also publish the insight and choose the publish settings by clicking the Publish icon located at the top-right corner.

Note: Insights are specific to each project and can be created only for the particular project.
2. Generate insights with AI
ResearchStudio analyzes your data using AI to extract and present multiple vital insights from it, all by itself. You can create detailed reports from the generated insights.

Note: You need to add your OpenAI API key from your own OpenAI account (ChatGPT 4 or higher) in ResearchStudio to enable this integration.

Note: In this mode, as the insights are automatically generated, there will not be any tags or notes added to the project.
To generate insights:
- Click Projects in the left pane and choose your desired project.
- Click Studies under Study Data in the top-right corner.
- Choose your desired CSV, audio, or video file.
- Click your desired type of analysis, such as Thematic or Sentiment, and click Generate Quick Insights.
- In the dialog that opens, either select an existing project or a new one in which you wish to save the generated insights, and click Copy to Project.
- To view the generated insights, click Open in the Data copied to project dialog, or go to the Projects tab and open the desired project to view the insights.
Share and publish insights
ResearchStudio allows you to share the insights with pre-defined permissions and collaborate with colleagues in real-time. You can also finalize and publish the insights to make them visible to all the members of the workgroup.
Share insights
- Click the Share icon located at the top-right corner of the insight.
- In the Share dialog that is displayed, type the email address of the user to whom you wish to share the insight, choose the desired permission, and click Share.

Note: You can view the name, email address, and permission of every user who has access to this document in the Who can access tab in the Share dialog.
Publish insights
- Click the Publish icon located at the top-right corner of the insight.
- In the Publish Settings dialog that is displayed, choose how you want to publish the insight: Within your organization or Public on the web.
- To publish an insight within your organization, choose Within your organization and click Publish.
- To publish an insight to be visible across the internet, choose Public on the web and click Publish.

Note: You can also choose to update the published insight after it is published by choosing the Automatic Republishing option in the Publish Settings dialog.

Note: You can also publish the insight after opening it by clicking the Publish button in the top-right corner.

Note: To download an insight as PDF, click the More option beside the insight name and click the Download as PDF option.
