Configure and enable OpenAI in Zoho Sheet


ChatGPT by OpenAI is a generative artificial intelligence tool that processes the given queries and provides detailed responses. Zoho Sheet's integration with OpenAI will enhance the way you analyze your spreadsheet data with advanced AI features.

Secret API key configuration settings:


The first step to start using the OpenAI in Zoho Sheet is to enter the secret API key from OpenAI. Click here to know how to get your secret key.

 

Secret API key: The API key is a unique key that allows you to access ChatGPT. 


Configure and enable OpenAI in Zoho Sheet:

Only the organization admin(s) will have the access to configure the OpenAI integration and enable it for their organization users.

From Zia Panel:

  1. Go to Tools > Zia > Ask Zia.
  2. In the OpenAI Configuration dialog, enter the secret key and click on Save.
  3. Once you've saved the secret key, you can enable and use the following options.

AI Bot: Responds to any general questions.



Generate Table: Generates a data table for the given requirement.



Generate Formula: Generates formula based on your requirement. You can insert the formula in the cell location you wish and generate the result.



Explain Formula: Explains how the given formula functions. You can also copy and paste the desired formulas from the sheet into the formula explainer and get the explanation.



From Import Dialog:

With the Ask Zia option in the Import dialog, you can create templates or get started with sample data sets. 
  1. Go to File > Import > Desktop/URL > Ask Zia
  2. Perform the OpenAI configuration.
  3. Once done, enter your requirement to fetch a sample data set. You can also select one from the sample prompts.
  4. Once done, click on Next.
  5. Select the preferred option to import the data and click Import.

From VBA Editor:

VBA macros allows you automate tasks by creating and running macro codes. To generate VBA code or get explanation to any VBA code:
  1. Go to Tools > VBA Macros > View VBA Editor 
  2. Perform OpenAI configuration.
  3. Once done, select Generate VBA Code or Explain VBA Code from the drop-down and type in your query.


To enable the ChatGPT integration for your organization users, move the OpenAI configuration in Zia toggle in the OpenAI Configuration dialog.
