How to add passwords in Zoho Vault on Windows

Get to know Zoho Vault for Windows

Adding and editing passwords

  1. To add a new password, click Add or use the shortcut Ctrl + Alt + A.
  2. Choose from the pre-defined categories to organize your password, or create a custom category for better management.
  3. Enter the required details and click Save to store the password.
  4. To edit a saved password, select it and click the Edit icon or press Ctrl + E.

Sharing a password

To share a password, click the Share icon located next to the password entry or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + S. You can share the password with individual users, user groups, or third parties, and assign one of four access levels. If you need to revoke access later, simply click the Revoke button or use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + U.

Deleting a Password 

To delete a password, click the Delete icon next to the password entry or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + D.

Creating folders

  1. To create a new folder, click Add or use the shortcut Ctrl + Alt + G.
  2. Enter a folder name, then add passwords to the folder accordingly.

Keyboard navigation for  Windows

Certain shortcuts that require internet access won’t work in offline mode.

Accessing Zoho Vault offline on Windows

You can access your Zoho Vault data offline on Windows, provided you have already logged into your account. While offline, you can view your passwords, but certain features that require an internet connection, such as the Security Dashboard, Settings, sharing options, and Quick Add, will be unavailable and appear grayed out.

To switch back to online mode, simply toggle the switch located at the top-right corner of the interface. Regardless of whether you're using Zoho Vault online or offline, your account's security remains fully protected.
