How to use the image library to organize images in Zoho Writer
Overview
The Image Library in Zoho Writer offers a convenient way to store, reuse, and manage images across your documents. You can upload images, insert them from the library into documents, track how they count against storage, and remove images when no longer needed.
Prerequisites
- Adequate storage space in your WorkDrive
Steps
How to upload images to the Image Library
- In Zoho Writer, open the document where you want image access.
- Go to the left panel (☰) > Insert > Image.
- Click My Library from the dropdown.
- In the Image dialog, click Add picture to choose to upload an image from your computer. After uploading, it is stored in My Library for reuse.
Once in the library, you can insert the image into other documents without needing to upload again.
How to insert images from the Image Library
- Place the cursor where you want the image.
- Go to More Options (☰) > Insert > Image.
- Click My Library from the dropdown.
- Select the desired image and click Insert.
- Optionally use the Sort or Search options in the library to locate images by name, date or criteria.
How to remove images from the Image Library
- In your Zoho Writer document, open Insert > Image to view the Image Library.
- Navigate to My Library.
- Click once on the image you want to delete. A delete icon appears at the top right.
- Click the delete icon. Confirm if prompted. The image is removed from your library and will not appear for future insertions (though it may remain in documents where it’s already used).
Additional Note
Storage implications
- Every image you upload to the Image Library counts against your storage quota.
- Plan your library usage if you work with many high-resolution images or collaborate across multiple documents.
