Zoho Desk iOS and Android app update: Attachment restriction

Hello, everyone!

We are excited to introduce an option to restrict uploading certain attachment types on the Zoho Desk app. This feature allows you to specify the types of attachments are allowed to be uploaded and shared within the Zoho Desk. This can help prevent malicious files from being uploaded and potentially compromising the security of the system.

You can choose any one of the following options: 'Allow all file types, except system restricted', 'Allow only the specified files', and 'Restrict more file types' options in settings(Privacy and Security> Attachment control) on the desktop site(desk.zoho.com).

Once done, please carry out a manual sync on the mobile app > Settings > Refresh Portal Metadata.

Upon doing so, a prompt will be displayed while you to try to attach the restricted/ unspecified files. You will be able to receive the restricted attachments from customers with a warning sign. However, the app will not allow you to open or download the files.
