Transferring documents from DOCS to WORKSPACE
I have uploaded 37000 documents and now I found out if they were in the workspace that every member of the group would have access to it. Without have to select 50 docs at a time, is there a way to move all 37000 documents into the workspace?
Try to open RAR file without getting gobbledygook
I have an RAR file among my zoho documents, but when I attempt to open it, it opens up as a long stream of "gibberish" characters. How can I open my RAR file so that it is readable in normal English?
Why is it possible to share a file with a group that you do not have access to?
Hi, I'm trying to figure out if there is a preference that the Super Admin can change to disable file sharing by group to those groups that a given user doesn't have access too. The reason I've created groups is so that we can share things "privately" by individual groups of users. If everyone has the ability to share files to all other groups, whether or not they can see them after, it takes away the security of a document because a user could easily share the file with the wrong group inadvertently.
dots not allowed
Hi, There's a difference between what is allowed in folder names in different places. In the upload window (desktop files), I cannot create a folder with a dot in the name. Folder renaming however doesn't have that limitation anymore and creates "a.b" without problems.
Zoho Tags information not downloaded with files
Tags appears to have very limited functionality... - We cannot filter based on multiple tags, only one tag filter is allowed currently. - The tag information is not downloaded along with the file, so effectively if you move a file out of zoho , you lose all the effort made in tagging files. Can any one let me know of any practical use of this much touted function...
Receiving error message when trying to add user

New Document not created in the current folder
New document created through the explore tab always lands up in the root folder, not in the current folder one is working in. Imagine working in a client folder - you create a new document , edit it , save it and ... It is not in that clients folder ; somehow it gets created in the root "My Folder". To move that document is time consuming especailly if you have a large number of folders. Rajesh
Folder Creation and move not working
I went into a folder (depth 6) and used the "new folder" command in the exploer tab to create another folder within the one I was in ( so it shouldbe depth 7). The folder was not created in the folder I was currently in, It got created in the root - ? When I tried to move this folder to its correct place I got " maximum depth" error - But I was informed that the maximum depth is 10 folders ? This also happend with a new sheet I created - why are these documents not being created in the current
Any limitations on zipping up files for download
Are there any limitations to hte number of files or maximum file size of the zipped up file - This is when we zip up multiple files for download to local pc. Also when we use the select "all" checkmark only files in the current pane (Around 50) are selected - Is there any way we can select all files in a folder - other than manually selecting each file. Phantom Folder
After upload of data some files are appearing twice in the view "all files"; when I checkout both the files they appear in the view "Checkedout" and I can go to the related folder - in both the folders same files are visible - BUT only one folder is visible in the folder tree. So one can navigate to the duplicate folder through the checkedout view folder link - but that folder is not visible in the folder Tree - This is not a one of case - I have already identified 2 such cases. Excel pictures disappeared
Hi, I'm new to zoho and have run into a funny thing. I have an excel workbook that on 3 tabs contain pictures (paste special picture). When I upload to zoho I can see all the other tabs but the 3 containing the photos are now empty. Am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions greatly appreciated, marty more info... to be more specific... It is only the online viewing of files that fail to show the pictures. Docs: Document Sort Criteria
At present, Zoho Docs seems to sort documents by some unknown criteria. The sort criteria can be changed by clicking on one of the headings such as Name to sort ascending or descending. However, this sort criteria does not seem to be retained. When another folder is selected, or the first folder is reselected, the sort order reverts to sorting by the unknown criteria. Only 100 folders?
I've been using zoho docs for quite some time. Use it for document storage and "filing". Last week was trying to create a new one to upload some documents and said "You can only create only upto a maximum of 100 folders." I need to get over that restriction since we deal with hundreds of files. If so, is there any other app I can use to create folders and upload documents for document management. Zoho Writer and Zoho Sheet don't show files I have in Zoho Docs
In Zoho Docs, I am able to work with various documents I have created or imported. However, When I search for some of these documents in Zoho Writer or Zoho Sheet, they do not appear in the search results. How can I access all my spreadsheets in Sheet, and all my text documents in Writer? This kind of problem is discouraging.

uploading folders

Search results is ZERO !?

Hello, I just created a workspace. All the members are defined as collaborators. But nobody can upload files to the workspace, only me. Freeze Panes & working tab Save behaviour
Spreadsheets within Zoho Docs behave differently (and far less usefully) than in Sheet when saving. Saving a document in Sheet saves any freeze panes setting and opens in the tab that was in use at the point of saving. In Docs all freeze pane information is lost and it always opens in the first tab. As a feature request it would also be nice if the active cell information was also saved so that a spreadsheet always reopened at the same cell as when last saved

Issue with pasting content from pasteboard
I am using Safari in Mac OS X 10.6. When I try to copy and past in zoho writer it is not working, looking like this issue is specific to Safari in Mac OS X. Why do we have to "import to writer" from Zoho docs?
It seems like Zoho docs and Writer could be more integrated than they are. It took me forever to figure out that you have to import a document specifically to Zoho writer, and that the document won't show up in the "open" feature in Zoho writer until you do so. You'd think that the folders in Zoho writer would correspond with the folders in Docs. That certainly seems to be the intuitive thing. Publishing and Changing account name
I am trying to find out how to publish a spreadsheet document so I can see it on my site. Can free users do this like with google docs? I see screenshots with "publish" between share and tag, but it's not there when I access my account. Also, I signed up a long time ago and I want to change my account name but keep my email address. hi people if i insert the table of content it is placed at the top of document i wanna place it at page 3 the index should be placeable at custom site.. or in other words after a custom amount of page breaks as in google docs the table of content title should be formatable actualy if i insert the table of content at a custom place by html edit it will be placed at the top of document again after a refresh this should be changed and i wanna get the title in H1 format ... this should be more customable

this zoho docs really needs redone. its so confusing. google doc's is much better and easier. you can share folders easier. my employes have to search for things and click all these tabs to get to what they want. Not digging the workspace thing!

selecting files in sorted view not working
It does not seem possible to select (check) files or documents in the Zoho docs explorer tab view, when I click ant the name, date created or folder column header. (i.e. select them for tagging) It works before I sort the files by date modified or don't sort them at all. Selecting files also does not work in search view (search results)

Hello, I uploaded excel document that has 3 sheets. I want to share this document with others but first sheet should be editable and other two just for review. I know that there is should be somewhere this option but I can't find it anywhere.

Hi, I just discovered Zoho docs. It looks very promising. However, is there a way to automatically synchronize files or folders whenever a change is made to them online or on one of my hard drives (like with dropbox.com)? Is there a way to share not only individual documents, but the complete content of "My Documents" with all of the folders & sub folders & their content?
