Per this announcement, Zoho is rebranding Orchestly as Qntrl and, more importantly, removing it from the Zoho One offering.

This is deeply concerning to me.

Zoho One promised access to the suite of applications offered by Zoho. When used together, they're supposed to be the "operating system of business", offered at a price point that is accessible to small and medium-sized businesses. This is an exciting vision and a compelling value proposition, and it's what prompted us to move to Zoho (not a small undertaking).

The move of Qntrl out of the Zoho One suite seems to signal that Zoho is wavering in its commitment to One.

While clearly an immature product, the idea of Orchestly/Qntrl as an underlying app that is designed to orchestrate business processes seems fundamental to the "operating system of business" promise. Not having it as a core part of One doesn't make any sense from that perspective.

More practically, it seems to be indicating that Zoho is more worried about nickel-and-diming by charging for additional apps than it is really delivering on the promise of One and getting new revenue with additional One customers.

This is very worrisome to me, as we're spending a lot of time and money migrating to the Zoho platform based on the vision and promise of Zoho One. If Zoho is already signaling a lack of commitment to One, I'm left wondering if we should be moving in a different direction.
