We, at Zoho Sprints, empathizing this, have provisioned an entire section in setup to allow users choose the email notifications they wish to receive. This way, you only receive updates on what is necessary, and you get to save your productive time to focus on more important tasks.
You can enable or disable the listed categories for work items that are broadly classified as On Create, On Update, On Delete, On Move, and On Complete. Every option is further refined to filter the work items created by you, assigned to you, followed by you, and to which you are the sprint owner. When there is an activity in work item comments, viz., when a comment is added, updated, or deleted, email notifications are usually sent to followers of the work items. This can additionally be customized to help you stay on top of comments added to work items created by you, assigned to you, and items to which you are the owner.
You can also opt to receive a summarized email of all the activities performed in your workspace at a stipulated frequency by configuring your preference at the Summarised Email section. The updates are emailed as a list. On clicking each update, it expands to display a table encompassing details of the item.
