Get more accurate data with Prefill URL!

Dear Form Builders,

We are excited to introduce you to our enhanced Prefill URL: Field Alias feature, which auto-generates prefill URLs, eliminating the need for manual URL input. This will make sharing prefilled forms easier and faster for you while avoiding manual errors.

Prefilled forms save users time and effort when they're filling out multiple forms. They also help ensure that the information submitted is accurate and consistent. By simplifying the process of filling out a form, you can reduce abandonment rates and increase user satisfaction.

Using the Field Alias feature, you can assign an alternate name to identify your form fields, and prefill these fields for your respondents. To use this feature, navigate to Settings > Field Alias - Prefill URL and configure your form accordingly. To learn more about the setup and process, follow this help link.

Now, imagine you have a form that you want respondents to fill out online. Normally, they would have to enter all the information themselves. But if you provide them with a customized URL, you can direct them to a form where some of their information is already filled in.

To do this, you need to create "field aliases" that represent the different fields on the form (like name, age, or favorite color). Then, you can assign a value to each alias, which is the information that you want to use to prefill the field. You can also add some extra tracking parameters to the link to help you keep track of where the respondent came from (like the name of the website that led them to your form).

Once you have assigned an alias and corresponding value to your form fields, a prefill URL is generated automatically, and can be copied and shared with your respondents.

We hope this feature helps improve your form filling experience and makes it faster and easier for your respondents to fill out forms.

Until next time,
Sruthi
