Hyperlink in Presentations

I've used the hyperlink function in my presentation to create a hyperlink to a website. The text within the presentation changed color and became underlined. All looked like the hyperlink was successfully created! However, when I clicked on the hyperlink, the slide just advances. No new window opens. This occurs in "show" mode.

How can I get a hyperlink to work properly in a presentation?
