Import subform entries conveniently in CRM

Import subform entries conveniently in CRM

Dear All,

Subforms have always been crucial for associating additional data with CRM records. You can easily associate line items with parent records and keep track of various details related to your records. We're pleased to announce that we've introduced changes to make adding subform entries even easier and more convenient.

What has changed?
Subform entries can now be imported directly from your device. Apart from new values, you can also import subform data to update existing entries, add new entries, or both, depending on your needs.

For example, an insurance company might maintain records of their policy holders' dependent details in a subform; maybe the policy holder wants to change the dependents or add a new dependent for coverage under their policy—or maybe they simply need to update the basic details of the dependents, like their age. While it's possible to update records individually, it may often be more convenient to maintain a separate file and record the updated details there, as shown below.

Now users can import such a file and mass update the subform entries in three simple steps:
  1. Upload a file containing the subform data.
  2. Choose whether you want to add new entries, update existing ones, or both.
  3. Map the subform's fields with the fields in CRM. After doing so, the subform records should be imported.

UPDATE: Import feature for subforms is available for all modules that support subforms except the Inventry modules (eg. Quotes, Invoices, Purchase Order, and Sales Order)

Thanks!

P.S. This enhancement is live for all users.
