Important update: Changes in email sender policies

Important update: Changes in email sender policies

Hello,

This is to announce important changes to email sender policies from Google that may impact your use of Zoho Meeting.

Restriction on public domains

Effective February 1, 2024, Google is implementing policies that will affect the configuration of sender email addresses, specifically the from address in your emails. Please take note of the change.

 Compulsory verification for custom domains

For users utilizing custom domains in their sender email addresses, its now mandatory to verify the domain. Domain verification is bound by SPF, DKIM, and DMARC record verification. We will soon make email domain verification mandatory.

What does this mean for you?

Meeting invitations

If you've been using Gmail addresses , in your Zoho Meeting invitations, we recommend updating your email addresses to comply with Google's new email policies. This ensures a smooth process for sending and receiving meeting invitations.

Note: If a public address is used in the from field of your emails, the email will be sent with a sender ID "noreply@zohomeeting.com" from our end to prevent any potential consequences.

Email engagements

You use Zoho Meeting's email management to send important notifications via email, including meeting reminders and updates. To ensure uninterrupted delivery of these notifications, please make sure to modify your Email settings by going to SettingsEmail Settings in Zoho Meeting.

Were currently in the process of updating our system to adhere to the revised policies. As part of this, were adjusting the workflow to restrict the use of public addresses and unverified custom domains as sender addresses for organization users.

We understand that these changes may require some modifications on your end, and we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a smooth transition. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our support team at support@zohomeeting.com.
