Let the visitors on your website know that your operators are away from work.
Do you maintain standard working hours for your employees? And, would you like to inform that to your visitors to avoid having a bad support experience. Business hours comes to your rescue. Business hours help you keep the visitor chat widget online during the standard business hours and automatically set it offline after working hours. Are you worried about the visitors during non-business hours? Set an offline message with a pre-chat form, collect the visitor info and query, and let your operator help them once they're back at work.
- To set up an offline message with pre-chat forms, navigate to Settings > Websites > Your website > Live Chat Widget > Chat Window > Response Message, select Offline next to Configure messages, type the message in the input field, and click Update.
Setting up business hours is just a one step process.
- Head to Settings > Company > Business hours > Enable, Set your company working hours by dragging on the column. And, you're all set.
Customize the online and offline messages in the chat widget:
To customize the online and offline text, Navigate to Settings > Websites > Your Website > Live Chat Widget > Widget > Content, here you can change the message by selecting Online or Offline, and replace the text in the input field provided below.
Do not want to display the widget outside business hours?
- Head to the Business Hours section, turn on the Hide Chat Widget outside the Business Hours option.
Extend your support beyond your working hours:
