Share files instantly with the WorkDrive-Cliq integration

Whether you work from the office or from home, sharing files with your team for review, discussion, or feedback is likely an important part of your routine. Simplifying this process for seamless communication has always been one of WorkDrive's primary goals.

Introducing the WorkDrive-Cliq integration

Sharing files with your peers is easier than ever with the WorkDrive-Cliq integration. The Share from WorkDrive option in Cliq enables you to share any file directly from WorkDrive, not only with individuals, but with channels and group chats too. 

Share your WorkDrive files through Cliq—in a click

As soon as you select the file you intend to share, you will be prompted to assign an access level to the recipient(s). Even if they do not have access to the file in WorkDrive, you can assign them access while sharing the file in Cliq. This can help save you time and increase team-wide productivity.

While sharing a file with a user or a group, you select any of the below access settings:

Personal: Individual users who are a part of your org/ team can only view the file.
Members with access permission in WorkDrive: Only the collaborator(s) who already have access to the file can access it from Cliq.  
Members with Org/Team in WorkDrive: Assign View, View and Comment, or Edit access to the members of your org or team.
Anyone on the Internet: Anyone with access to the file's link can view its contents.



A few key points to note:
  • When a user leaves a group or channel, they lose access to the files shared in the group/channel. 
  • When a new user is added to a group or channel, they gain access to the files already shared with the group.
  • If you share a file with a group or an individual that already has access permission through WorkDrive, the higher access level supersedes.
