Tip of the week #9: Create recurring events for meetings that occur on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
Recurring Events
Recurring events are events like milestone meetings, conferences, team-lunch, etc., that occur repeatedly based on a specified pattern. Zoho Calendar makes it simple and easier to create such recurring events.
Instead of creating an event multiple times, you can use the Repeat option in the Create event tab and add a recurring event to your calendar. Also, you can create a never ending event or you have the option to limit the event recurrence to a particular date or particular number of occurrences.
Types of Recurring Events
The recurring events that you create can repeat daily, on weekdays, weekly, monthly, or annually. The recurring patterns available in Zoho Calendar are as follows;
- Daily - The event can recur everyday, every 2 days, every 3 days, and so on. (Ex: Every 2 days until dd/mm/yyyy or Every 3 days for 9 times)
- Weekdays - The event can recur everyday on all weekdays. You can set your Week starts on and Work Week in Zoho Calendar settings. (Ex: Every Weekday for 9 times or Every Weekday until dd/mm/yyyy)
- Weekly - The event can recur on a day or particular days every week, every 2 weeks, every 3 weeks and so on. (Ex: Every week on Mon for 9 times or Every 2 weeks on Mon, Friday until dd/mm/yyyy)
- Monthly - The event can recur on a particular date or day of every month, every 2 months, every 3 months and so on. (Ex. Every month on 22 for 12 times or Every 2 months on the second Wednesday until dd/mm/yyyy)
- Yearly - The event can recur on a particular month and particular day or date of the chosen month every year. (Ex: Every July on day 22 for 12 times or Every year on fourth Friday of July until dd/mm/yyyy)
