Tips and Tricks #25: Back up your data by creating ZIP files



Hi everyone! 

We're back with a Tips and Tricks article to help you better understand WorkDrive, Zoho's file management and content collaboration platform. If you'd like to read our previous articles in the Tips and Trick series, you can find them here.
 
WorkDrive helps you create ZIP files for backing up your My Folders and Team Folders data. It also offers you a comprehensive Preview function to check a ZIP file's contents before downloading or extracting it.

Creating ZIP files

Creating a ZIP file in WorkDrive is simple. Select the files and folders you want to back up and select the ZIP option from the drop-down menu on the top action bar.




The zipped file will be saved in the same Team Folder or My Folders where the data is located. You can download zipped files directly to your desktop or extract them into another Team Folder at any time.

Before extracting or downloading a ZIP file, WorkDrive allows you to preview the files and folders it contains. The Preview feature helps ensure you are downloading the right data every time.
