Zoho Books | Product updates | August 2025

Hello users,

We’ve rolled out new features and enhancements in Zoho Books. From the right sidebar where you can manage all your widgets, to integrating Zoho Payments feeds in Zoho Books, explore the updates designed to enhance your bookkeeping experience.

Introducing Widgets Pane in Zoho Books

We’re excited to launch the Widgets Pane. Located on the Right-Hand Sidebar (RHS), this pane provides quick access to Announcements, Webinars, Page Tips, Extensions, Contextual Tasks and Chat, WhatsApp, and Zoho Notebook.




Apply Multi-level discount to Transactions [India Edition]

You can now apply discounts to transactions at line-item and transaction level simultaneously. You can also apply discounts at line-item level in Debit Notes. Additionally, we've introduced customizable discount account tracking, which allows you to track discounts in  separate accounts.

Note: This feature is available only in the Elite and Ultimate plans of Zoho Books.

To enable the multi-level discount for transactions, go to Settings> Preferences > General > Do you give discounts? > Select the option At Line Item Level and at Transaction Level > Click Save.

Configure Threshold for e-Way Bills [India Edition]

You can now configure an appropriate threshold for your e-Way bills based on your state’s regulations.



To configure a threshold for e-Way bills, go to Settings > Taxes & Compliance > Configure Threshold > Enter the Threshold > Click Save.


Generate e-Way Bills for Gold [India Edition]

You can now generate e-Way bills for the intra-state transport of gold and precious stones when the consignment value exceeds ₹2 lakh. You can also set a threshold limit for e-Way bills generated for gold.



To enable this, go to Settings > Taxes & Compliance > Configure Threshold > Check the option Enable e-way bill generation for gold items. > Enter the Threshold value > Click Save.


Update Transporter Details [India Edition]

You can add or update transporter details for e-Way Bills that are in the Generated or Part A Generated status. This is useful if you didn’t include the transporter information when generating the e-Way Bill, or if you want to update it later.



Integrate Zoho Payments Feeds in Zoho Books

Zoho Books now supports Zoho Payments feed integration, allowing transactions to be automatically recorded under Sales, Expenses, and the Zoho Payments Clearing Account. This ensures accurate, real-time tracking of payments and reduces the need for manual entries.


Bulk Validate HSN/SAC Code

As per GST regulations, all HSN or SAC codes in a transaction must be valid. Zoho Books allows you to correct invalid HSN/SAC codes for the current return period or a selected date range using the Validate HSN/SAC section inside the HSN Summary of GSTR-1. A new HSN/SAC Update History section in the GST Filing dashboard allows you to track the status and view updated transactions.

Enhancement to Export Composite Items

With this enhancement, the export of composite items with more than 25,000 records will be processed as a scheduled task. Once completed, you will receive a summary email with a download link.

Customize Columns in Purchase Receives

We’ve added support for column customization on the Purchase Receives list page.

Shipment Details Report

We’ve introduced the Shipment Details Report, which provides a detailed overview of all your shipments made within a specific time period.



Introducing Replenishments

Replenishments help restock low-stock items based on parameters like Reorder Level, Maximum Stock Level, and Order Type. Replenishment tasks are generated as per the configured schedule and can be used to create Purchase or Transfer Orders. They ensure accurate restocking at the item or location/warehouse level, avoiding stock outs and over stocking.

To enable Replenishments, go to Settings > Items > General > Slide the Enable toggle next to Replenishments.

Advanced Inventory Tracking with Unit Conversion

We now support unit conversion for batch and bin tracked items. You can now buy, sell, or move inventory in their preferred units of measurement, even when advanced tracking (batch/bin tracking) is enabled.

Custom View Support in Sales Receipts

You can now filter your sales receipts by creating custom views.


Other Feature Enhancements

  • You can now scan and add items directly to line items. If the same item is scanned multiple times, the quantity in the existing line item will automatically increase. For items with advanced tracking (Serial or Batch tracking), both the item and its tracking details can be captured in a single scan. Scanning a serial or batch number will add the item along with its associated tracking information.
  • You can now view the journal credits applied to invoices and bills in the respective customer and vendor statements.
