Zoho Meeting Updates | Video feeds in webinars, better recordings, and performance enhancements

Hello there,
We hope you're safe and well. During the last month, we introduced multi-video feed support for webinars and rolled out some performance-related enhancements and bug fixes to continue improving your experience with Zoho Meeting. Let's take a look at what's new:

Common updates for meetings and webinars
  • As a performance enhancement, we have enabled bandwidth optimization for audio, video, and screen sharing. Users can also now view performance-related data under Settings.
  • Recordings are now more reliable with a more robust recording engine which ensures that your recording does not become corrupt even if a server crash occurs unexpectedly.
  • Some users faced the issue of an unknown device (displayed as "MediaStreamAudioDestination") shown as the chosen audio device. This was identified as a bug in the Google Chrome browser and it has been fixed from our end.
  • Mozilla Firefox users were sometimes unable to re-connect their audio after being disconnected. This issue has been fixed.
  • Webinar updates
  • With the new multi-video feed support in webinars, webinar hosts and attendees can now view the video feeds of organizers and co-organizers simultaneously with the screen broadcast.
  • The issue in which the audio of a webinar attendee got unmuted unexpectedly when they changed their speaker device has been resolved.
  • The issue which caused the video feeds to remain on the right side of the webinar window instead of being moved to the center after screen sharing ended has been fixed.
Webinar updates
  • With the new multi-video feed support in webinars, webinar hosts and attendees can now view the video feeds of organizers and co-organizers simultaneously with the screen broadcast.

  • The issue which caused the video feeds to remain on the right side of the webinar window instead of being moved to the center after screen sharing ended has been fixed.
Online meeting updates
  • The issue which caused shared screens to appear in smaller resolutions on participants' screens has been fixed.
  • The issue which caused some video feeds to appear hidden under the meeting toolbar has been fixed.
  • When a user switched audio options (computer audio to phone audio and vice-versa) or changed video devices, their video feed sometimes appeared to turn black. This issue has been fixed.
  • The issue which caused the blue frame surrounding the video feed of the active speaker to hide the notifications bar has been fixed.
  • Bugs that caused audio status mismatch (that is, showing an active audio state when the audio is not connected or when it's muted) have been fixed.
  • If some disconnection happened on the participant's side after making a screen-sharing request to the meeting host, the screen-sharing button remained disabled even after re-connection. Now, the screen-sharing button will be enabled for the participant after connection is resumed.
We have also made some enhancements in our mobile apps, which include internet bandwidth optimization, UI improvements for easier interaction, and minimal battery use. We hope these updates help you get even more out of your Zoho Meeting experience. Let us know your feedback by writing to us at support@zohomeeting.com.

Stay safe and healthy.
