Zoho Vault product updates (mid-2024)

Hello everyone,

Can you believe it’s already July! As we reach the halfway point of 2024, we wanted to share some exciting updates on Zoho Vault!

We've come a long way since our beginnings as a simple password manager ten years ago. Today, we're proud to be a cornerstone of your business's security strategy.

But we're not stopping there! At Zoho, we understand the importance of protecting both personal and business data. That's why we recently announced our integrated security solutions stack, offering stronger safeguards against evolving cyber threats.

Here's a quick rundown of Zoho Vault's features and enhancements across the web, browser extensions, and mobile in the last six months, plus a glimpse of what's coming up later this year.

What's new on the web

Passcard link

Zoho Vault now offers passcards, a secure way to share account details with authorized users. Passcards provide a complete view of an account, including username, password, attachments, and more.

Here's what you can do with passcards:
  1. Using passcards, you can now add links to technical documentation, ensuring that only an authorized user can access the information.
  2. Specify project-related account details by embedding passcard links within project documentation.
  3. Attach passcard links to tickets for change requests, ensuring IT or designated administrators can swiftly manage updates.

Instant and browser notification

Enhanced instant and browser notification alerts are now available for critical operations such as emergency access, report exports, audit trails exports, offline access, password policy updates, user TFA status changes, and immediate access restriction to emergency passwords based on user roles and privileges. For example, if a new emergency contact is added, all super admins will receive an immediate pop-up notification at the top-right corner of the web interface.

Secure note

Zoho Vault goes beyond passwords! Now you can store secure notes alongside your logins and other sensitive data. With everything kept in sync across your devices, you'll always have the information you need at your fingertips.

Here are just a few ways you can use secure notes, but the possibilities are endless:
  1. Travel: Flight numbers, gate information, local taxi contacts, important addresses.
  2. Finances: Track business expenses, organize notes for tax filing.
  3. Health: List allergies, manage medication schedules, keep track of appointments.

Login activity report

What's new on browser extensions

Unlock extension using authenticators

In addition to Zoho OneAuth, users can now easily unlock their extensions with popular authenticators such as Touch ID, Windows Hello, passkeys, and YubiKey. This integration provides a hassle-free experience by eliminating the need to enter the master password each time manually, guaranteeing a convenient and smooth experience.

Enhanced  Safari extension

The Safari extension has been upgraded with enhanced functionality. Users now have access to all of Zoho Vault's features within Safari. For instance, TOTP functionality is now fully supported, a feature that was previously unavailable.
