Mandatory verification of custom domains in portal

Happy New Year! Wishing you a successful and fruitful year ahead. We are committed to ensuring a safe and secure experience for all users of Zoho Creator users. As part of this commitment, we regularly introduce updates to ensure our platform remains aligned with evolving security standards. In line with this, we’ve decided to phase out support for portals with unverified custom domains.

What is changing?

Starting 10-Feb-2025, we will restrict access to any portal with unverified domains. Your portal users will no longer be able to log in to these portals.

What you need to do

To avoid any potential disruptions to your business, we strongly recommend verifying your custom domains in portal at the earliest.  Before this change takes effect, we will send emails to affected users with detailed information about the portals that have unverified domains. To further ensure our users are well-informed about the change, we will display a banner under the Portal page in C6 and the Customer Portal section under App Settings in C5.

Follow the steps outlined in the email you receive or visit the Verify custom domain of Portal help page for guidance. 
NotesNote: 
In C5, custom domain verification can only be performed by customer portal admins. Therefore, we will be sending emails to both the super admin and the respective customer portal admins. For detailed procedure to be followed in C5, please visit the Verify custom domain of the customer portal help doc.
It’s possible that your Zoho Creator account may have multiple unverified domains. Please ensure that all such domains are verified to prevent any interruptions.
