Latex export
Hello, new to zoho, I tried to export the welcome text from zoho as latex document. However, the downloaded zip file was broken, i.e. could not be opened. Any idea what went wrong? Kind regards, Karsten.

I've registered before as emailA@domainA A friend share a doc with me as emailB@domainB I add & activated the emailB in account.zoho but i can't see the doc shared with me in "Shared to me" Why?

I've used Zoho Writer briefly, and like it very much – it's a lot better than Google's word processing program! That said, I would like to see the following features added (forgive me if they already exist – if they do, perhaps they can be easier to find): 1. Save callback
Hi, I am actually wondering if we could get a callback when the user saves a document, sheet or presentation so as to know whether the save is successful or not, and in my side I could display a more helpful message for the user instead of a general one. so is there anyway, to handle the callback from the save button when the user click it through the remote apis or just changing the text in the pink bar when the save occur Thanks in advance, Ahmad

Embedding Doc in an existing Webpage
Hi, Is there a way that I could have an existing html template/shell page hosted on a site somewhere and then have the body/content embeded from a Z Writer document? I'm exploring a way to simulate CMS functionality for a simple website, by having some pages designed and generated using photoshop, then having some of those pages embed some link somehow to display a page authored with Z Writer and hosted at Zoho or similar? I guess I'm looking for the Z Creator form embedding idea, but not for forms......just
Problem with document sharing
Hello, I am sharing a document with the students in my class. One student has reported that although she has successfully registered for a Zoho account, she does NOT see my shared document in the "Shared to Me" area. I have verified that she registered with the same email address I am using to invite her to the document. She says that she is using Vista. I do not know which browser she is using. Could this be the problem? Which browsers DO and DO NOT work with Zoho Writer? Thank you, Julie

Hi there, I've been playing around with writer for months now, and just went back to heavy use again for the first time in a while to type out some notes for a grad school class. I love the GUI-driven LaTeX equation editor -- I have three different TeX editors I'm playing with as I try to learn, and being able to do equations that update in real time is a great tool. I have been regularly using your Zoho writer for mathematical stuff.I like the Latex editor for equations and symbols--so convenient to use. Add more color choices with the equation editor...now you have only blue color...I am sure more students and profs will start using this!--Keep up this work--a great help for math and sicence lovers world over!I know the product is from India--which gave zero and sine function table to the world!!
pdf output in writer

Zoho writer strangely slow...
Hi - First off, let me start by saying how wonderful the zoho suite of programs is. My problems with zoho writer in no way detract from my overall very positive experience with zoho. I am experiencing a speed problem with zoho writer. Simply, the whole app is frustratingly slow, with a response time in seconds... i.e. I strike a key and about a second passes before it appears in the editting window. I type several words before they start to render drip by drop on the screen. Some more info: * Compaq

Zoho Writer very slow
I really like your service but the overall response is slow. Document scrolling speed is fine. However, doing a search in a large document (3.3 MB before import, all text with minor formatting, no images) is extremely slow and usually takes over 30 seconds (compared to instantaneous in Word). Doing typical editing is extremely slow. I'm using IE7 under XP. Please convince me that I should stay with Zoho. Thanks, Chi-Kai

importing folders from google docs
I followed the instructions posted telling me how to import a folder of my google docs, but when I get to the actual import option it won't let me import a whole folder in one go- i have to do it file by file- is there a work around so that I can import a whole folder of docs at the same time? thanks
pdf Print Quality no as good as native
Hi, When I print to pdf, the print quality is never as good as when I print directly from Z Writer browser window? I can't print from the Z Window cos of the formatting problems obviously, but the pdf option is also not professional enough to send to clients. Any suggestions? Thanks Luke

Collaboration Almost Perfect, but needs A few improvements
So I like the collaboration i see right now. The one thing I see missing, before I can use this for real in my group is that I want the non-document owners to have more option. If you share a document the shared users can't view the history, or export the document and what not. If you could add it so a shared user can do everything but delete the document, that would be good. Also if in the word plugin you could open shared docs, that would also be really nice. After that it would be ready to use.

Can not Access my ZOHO Writer service ...
Hi: Last night I created and stored a number of documents using ZOHO Writer. This morning, every time I switch to ZOHO Writer ... Internet Explorer (version 6 under Windows XP Pro SP3) pops up its usual error message about encountering an error ... then, no matter which button I click (Debug, Send/Don't Send Error Report) ... my IE Window is automatically closed ... sometimes, all IE Windows get closed. Retried about 3 or 4 times ... each time having to re-login ... to no avail. My userid is scriptedlogic

Formatting saves & word export issues
When I use your service through huddle I find that most of my formatting doesn't stick when i save a doc after editing online. More distressing, I try to export the copy as a word doc ... through the huddle api & through your website directly, and MS Word 2000 freaks out. It crashes immediately, and opens some ghost copy (seemingly thinking it is an html file). Help! :(

Could we configure the text of the messages appear when a user tries to save a document, maybe we could put a text that reflects the actual error happened, or could we redirect the user to another page if there is an error.
Zoho Writer-Icons
I recently reopened Zoho writer after recovering from pc crash, reinstalls, etc, and learned that all toolbar icons no longer colored, but a faded black. This is not a problem in sheet. Any idea what the problem could be and a fix? thanks.

When I share a document in Zoho Writer, can the person I shared with collaborate at the same time as me, each viewing the other's editing as in Google Docs? Can I chat with someone who I am not collaborating with?
Trouble working offline
Sorry if this is a repeat of a previous forum post, but I'm not sure the other was saved. Here's my problem: I was using Google Gears to work on a Zoho document offline. I assumed when I went online later, the two documents -- the previous one and the one I worked on -- would sync. However, they did not, and when I went online, I found I was working on the older version. I then went into offline mode, and it did sync -- and the older version overwrote (I think) the newer one. Spell check sucks - does not catch a *lot* of errors . No auto correct. No auto capitalize. Your program is very nice looking, and online is very compelling, but until you have the basic features as good as MS Word...not usable for *real* work. Please make it better. Online word processing, attractive -- yess..! :)

Cannot open Writer

Writer needs L-R scroll bar on the bottom of the page.
This program is unusable to me. My husband is visually impaired so I have to use 800 X 600 resolution. I can't even see the whole page on my screen! Each time I use the program, I have to change resolution. How stupid. I can use Word with my resolution just fine without having to make any changes. They need to work on that. Sorry about the double post. I was confused between docs and writer. Writer is like Word. THAT'S the one that needs the scroll bar
Encoding problem when posting to blog
