In Zoho Marketing Automation, a Journey is an automation tool that helps you build business workflows by defining the path your contacts will follow based on specific conditions and targeted actions. With Journeys, you can automate repetitive tasks, create an engagement flow using various trigger points, set up structured processes that contacts move through, and execute specific actions based on their behavior.
To create a Journey:
- From the navigation toolbar, select Journeys and click View Journeys.
- Click the Create button in the top-right corner of the list view page.
- On the General Details page, provide a name and description for your Journey, then click Next.
- On the Use Template page, you can either:
1. Choose a pre-designed template from the left panel. Hover over the desired template and click Use Template (or Preview to view it first).
2. Or click Start from Scratch to design a custom Journey from the ground up.
- From the left panel, drag and drop a trigger component. You can then add and configure the appropriate process and action components to define what your contacts will go through.
- Ensure all Journey components are connected to complete the flow.
To launch a Journey:
- Click Review and Launch to view a summary that includes the number of qualified contacts, along with a brief note on the re-entry criteria and goals set for them.
- To modify the goal or re-entry criteria, click the Edit icon.
- Click Launch to activate your Journey.
- If your Journey isn’t ready to go live, click Save. It will be saved as a draft in the list view. You can return to edit it by selecting the Journey, which will open the builder. Once ready, click Review and Launch again to go live.
- Once launched, your Journey will appear in the builder as a live workflow.
- Reports will be available under the Reports tab, providing insights and metrics to help analyze your Journey’s performance. You can also view the list of contacts who’ve entered the Journey under the Contacts tab. Use filters to segment contacts based on entry and exit status, tags, scores, goals, and other attributes.
