Best Way to Integrate a Shared Sales Inbox with Zoho CRM

I’m setting up a shared email inbox (e.g., sales@mycompany.com) for our sales team and want to integrate it with Zoho CRM Leads and Deals so that multiple team members can collaborate efficiently. Since Zoho CRM doesn’t support IMAP for shared inboxes, I’m exploring Zoho TeamInbox as a possible solution.

The goal is:
  1. A true shared inbox where select team members can access, reply, and track conversations.
  2. Automatic linking of emails to CRM Leads/Deals where relevant.
  3. Ability to assign emails to team members and track follow-ups.
  4. Future-proofing so that additional sales team members can seamlessly onboard.
I’ve ruled out the “Organization Email Address” option because, from what I understand, it only provides a shared “from” address, but not an actual shared inbox experience.

My Questions:
  1. Is TeamInbox the best way to achieve this with Zoho CRM?
  2. Does TeamInbox natively integrate with CRM in a way that links conversations to Leads/Deals?
  3. Are there any potential integration gaps or limitations that I should be aware of?
  4. Are there better alternative approaches to handling a shared sales inbox within Zoho’s ecosystem?
