Writer fail to export some documents
Hi, Here is my problem: 1. I import a Word document into Writer. This document contain comments inserted in the margin. The importation works ok. 2. Later, i export the document in HTML or Word format : I get a blank page. I think this is because of the comments in the document. When i do it with the API, i don't get an error. Zoho return a 200 response code, but the response body is only "<html></html>" So there is 2 bugs: the exportation fail, and the api fail to indicate that the exportation has
Serious encoding problem, Japanese
I see the serious bugs for collaboration editing, however, I could not find the detail. However, I want to inform the bugs to Japanese users at least. There might be the similar issues for other language users. The issue looks related with collaboration editing and shared documents. Those documents are saved with the wrong encoding, I guess. The seriousness is we are not sure to recover the documents. Hope anyone who read this forum post to not use share feature, and to not touch the shared documents.

while moving to offline you mentioned that documents are downloaded based on sort order. I don't know in which order you will sort. Instead that it would be better if you give an option to select the documents that he is wishing to download. maheshnaginan
Public URL Noband
I came across the /noband tip to remove the ZoHo border from a publicly accessible document. What I would like to do is have that be an option in a doc roll. It seems that if a document is posted in a doc roll, I don't have the ability to turn off the borders. jlehman
PB with work offline
Hi all I try to use zoho with google gears on ubuntu (linux). Zoho work nice but when i try to come back online , I have a windows with the ID and password. and at this times it 's impossible to have the connection my Pwd is allways refused. please do you have a work around? Regards. Pierre pierr
Unable to view saved document
Hi I have created a document in writer but now that I have saved it, I have only been able to view it once. I can open other documents that I have saved and export and email them. When I tried doing this with the missing document I get an error message. Now when I try and open it, I can only see a Loading icon. Any ideas??
Pagination different between PDF and Word
Page breaks on document are different when comparing export/print to PDF vs Word Document. Also noted export to word established fonts in Time New Roman 10pt, where zoho doc was in Veranda 10pt.
Support for Page based templates

Headers/footers and folders
I have two requests for future versions of Writer, one of which I'm sure is already in the works. I'd love the ability to make templates with the ability to add headers or footers. I use Writer for all of my classwork at my University and have a template set up for a paper I have to write weekly. It'd be great if I could add a header to my template so I would not have to add it in manually every time. If this functionality already exists, I'm unable to find it. Online Word Processing
I like your system quite a lot. But one thing that I think could be of great use is a folder system (something like what Writely/GoogleDocs has). Other than that, I think this is the best online writing system. Not as fancy as Buzzword, but very functional. scaeascae

Right-click menus of Writer and Firefox overlap
It is very inconvenient that whenever I highlight and right-click on text in Writer, both Writer's and my browser's (Firefox 2.0.0.11) right-click menus appear but are overlapping. Since Writer's right-click menu is always the one underneath, it requires a lot of highlighting, right-clicking, and scrolling-about until the feature that I would like to use finally becomes accessible. hey why doesn't your spellcheck work? ha actually it works right here while i'm typing this message to you but not when i am working on my paper. kinda selfish, dontya think that you would rather this message, to you, be spelled correctly but won't set up the word processor not to break down. but yes, i know i'm not paying for this site, so realistically, you could easily just go out of business and i would probably be f#c&ed. good thing i print everything out.. at least. but yea get that spellcheck

Unable to "discuss" a shared document
This has been bothing me for couple months already. After I've shared a document with someone, usually 1 or more friends, we can enter the collaboration mode, with highlighted editing texts. However, we cannot "IM" to discuss the document on the left hand bar. It'd flash the "person" symbol to show that a collaborator's available, yet when I (and he) click on the symbol, it says that "you must share to discuss this document..." ID param in the form
Hi, Could you tell me more details about ID, which is requried to submit a file? I went through the manual at http://writer.zoho.com/public/help/writer.remoteapi/fullpage, but still i wonder what it is all about. Do i have to generate it by myself in the first place, and then am gonna have to keep it in my server for reference? Or it's YOU that generate it? Plus, any rule or convention to conjure it up? Table Frame does not disappear when switching documents
The frame drawn (the drag handles) when a Table is selected remains visible even when I switch to another document. Screenshot of the artifact attached.
Table drag handles do not match centered table boundaries

New folders?
There is a new document button in all of the Zoho online applications, but no way of creating a new folder. Personally it would be best of these folders showed in the sidebar of every application, with documents not viewable by the application but with an indication of which application can open them. ia

I switched to Page View which I do prefer. I would just like to ask how to switch it back to other views and also can I make Page View the default? ia
