cannot save document
hi, i can't seem to save after editing. referring to a previous forum post, i followed the instructions to help save but i still can't seem to. maybe i'm not used to the format of zoho writer. but when i type, a strange dotted border surrounds the body of my text and sometimes it splits into different rows according to how the text is written. and if i type outside of this border, nothing gets saved. even if i write within the border, changes i make still don't get saved. this phenomenon is regardless
Question re Box.net integration
Hello, I find the new Box.net integration feature to be very useful. However, I don't quite understand it yet. I clicked on the "edit" link (to a Word document I'd uploaded) from inside Box.net and it took me to Zoho Writer. However, I wanted to publish it, but I couldn't figure out how. I also couldn't figure out if I could save it to my Zoho account. If you have any clarification on this, please let me know. Thanks for a really incredible service, though. It's amazing. nathan.rein

Exporting truncates document after about 40 pages
Hello, When I export to PDF or Word it truncates my 97 page document at about the 40th page or so... Why doesn't it export the entire document? Marc

Word plugin
I saw an announcement that you have a Word Plugin. I saw this in the homepage but I auto-login and I couldn¡'t access to this plugin from Zoho Writer. I checked Options and My Account but nothing. jmtapiol

It would be great if we could access our shared files as well. With this feature the plugin would probably be the best collaboration tool available.
double spacing
It seems I'm only able to double space one line at a time instead being able to highlight an entire document and double space the whole thing. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

I've been reviewing online document tools and since first posting my Zohowriter review to my blog (http://moonflowerdragon.blogspot.com/2007/01/23thingszohowriter.html ) Blogger has switched me to the new Blogger. Since then I've updated the review but can't seem to post that update to my blog. Why does the Ticket ID keep resetting?
Are there any limitations or is there a lifespan on generating a TicketId? I am in the middle of programming an API interface and have found that every so often I will have to re-request a Ticket_ID for a user. You can imagine how cumbersome this is and even more importantly see how programs will break if this continues to happen. Does anyone have an explanation or perhaps a workaround to the problem?

RSS Feed for Diffs
Hey everyone... phenomenal product. :) There's an application called Trac that integrates with Subversion and also has a wiki. It has an awesome feature of allowing a "timeline". From that timeline I can get an rss feed of changes to the wiki, subversion check ins, ticket changes. It really is a killer tool. http://trac.edgewall.org/timeline Now here's the reason why I'm requesting it. You already do diffs. Trac offers an RSS item for each changeset. Please insert a way to do page breaks, is there a way?
I want to be able to tell the document when i want to start a new page. It is tiresome to keep hitting enter and print preview until the perfect pagination ocurrs. Please help. frenziso
Import of Word Documents, Outlining
First of all, I have been using Google documents. But recently I tried Zoho Show and was pretty impressed. I imported a Word document into Google that had outlining, and it did a terrible job. So, I decided to give Zoho Writer a try, and it worked much better. I am REALLY impressed. Still, it didn't get somethings correct. For example, my outline headings were bold, but not the paragraph bodies -- but the imported version made the entire outline portion bold. Part of the problem is that Word is buggier

Hi, I am initially impressed with your tool. I am running a class of 30 students who I would like to collaborate on writing a class set of notes. I have some questions: 1. Redirecting the user to ZOHO with authentication?
Hello, from within our application we are storing documents in ZOHO. After storing the document we let the user choose if he wants to open the ZOHO page to view the document (i found out that ZOHO accepts the URL-parameter "docID" to load a document directly) In our case the user has entered username and password and they are stored as cookies. Is it possible to submit the users name and password to ZOHO so that the user does not need to login (agian)? Thanks in advance, Ralf

Too slow for my company
Hi, I am deeply impressed with your apps and I would like to create a Wiki for my company using your apps, my only reason for not doing this is the speed of your pages. It is just not good enough for my company to have to wait 10-20 seconds for every page reload. Something I could recommend you is to use the computer grid now offered by Amazon, which costs 10 cents per computer per hour. I use it myself, and I am deeply impressed. davi

Firefox extension and toolbar button
I'd like you to embody the Zoho bookmarklet into the firefox extension, so that a) instead of, or in addition to the 'bookmarklet', the same functionality is embedded in a toolbar button (i.e. the main toolbar NOT the bookmarks toolbar). b) the same functionality, pasting text from a web page to Zoho, should also be carried out through the context menu. In short. I do not use the bookmarks toolbar to save screen space, and would like this functionality elsewhere in the firefox browser. Thanks John

E-Mail Out
Is there anyway to change the sent from information when e-mailing out a document? Every document that I have e-mailed out to one of my separate e-mail accounts simply shows my login id as the name of the sender. willia

I think the tagging system needs some tweaking. Ideally I'd like two things:- 1. autocomplete when adding tags. 2a. a tag interface listing all tags used 2b. tag search function with ability to find documents by more than one tag. 2a/b would ideally have a 'tags' drawer in left panel.

is it possible to insert a document through outlook tapping into your zoho online docs as a source for attachments?
Document didn\'t save
yesterday I created a document. and shared it.the guy with whom I shared did some changes and i received it today mornig. then i did some changes again and saved the document(I did press the save button, and it showed document saved) but after an hour when I asked the oter person to see the changes he said i can't see any changes except an extra No is added. That "No" is the starting of a line i wrote. But thats the only chage it retained. Nothing else. All other chages is lost, and nothing in history

Search
What is the search box at the top of the page for? I tried using it to search my documents and it kept returning 'your search ... did not match any documents and templates.' I tried the 'content,' which I assumed would search all my documents, but it kept returning the same result. Is there a problem or is this search box/button for a different purpose. I am a VERY concerned that I may not be able to search across all my documents.
Options for Email - Out
While sending a document, shall we have the same options (Subject, an intro text) as the Share doc option ? I had an issues document in a version of the product. To mention the version in the subject there is no option now. Thanks, Manivannan. manivannans
cannot see anything
Hi, when I log into zohowriter I cannot see any of my documents. Instead, the My Docs panel is empty and in the main panel an empty document titled "Document name" appears with the animated "loading" icon which never seems to load. I have some important documents in my zonoWriter, and I would be really upset if these were lost. Please help enrico.buonann
small but VERY annoying problem
I'm using the MS-Word add-in. When I use an apostrophe <'> it translates to a question mark <?> in the ZOHO version and also appaers when the document is retrieved. Since I use the apostrophe (for academic reasons not worth going in to) for enclosing a lot of quotes this is irritating. Otherwise, I'm realy enjoying using ZOHO.
Great Writing Software
I love to write and having the correct tools to do that is what I like best. The Zoho Writer has helped me to write a couple of great articles. The fact that I can save and come back later and finish is a feature that works well for me. Plus toggling the HTML allows me a lot more freedom for what the finished product looks like. Lastly, the Writer saves me from having to worry about backups, it does it automatically! I love this! skyracer.us
I was a bit curious..
I love this site and view it as the potential means of the future. My friends also like it quite a bit. The only concern I have is regarding security. If I wanted to use this as a place to store account numbers for finances etc. (and did not share or make them public) would it be safe from unwanted access?
