Enable Native Zia Integration in Zoho Mail Without Requiring OpenAI API Key

Hello Zoho Team,
We hope you're doing well.

We would like to request a feature enhancement for Zoho Mail's integration with Zia, specifically concerning the AI-powered capabilities like:

  • Auto-complete sentences

  • Generate email content

  • Summarize email

Currently, enabling these features requires us to input an OpenAI API key. However, since Zoho already offers its own AI assistant — Zia — we would prefer to utilize Zia natively for these functionalities without needing to rely on third-party AI platforms like OpenAI.

Why this matters:

  • Data privacy and compliance: Using Zia exclusively ensures data remains within Zoho’s ecosystem.

  • Simplified configuration: Removes the friction of acquiring and managing external API keys.

  • Cost efficiency: Reduces or eliminates additional expenses related to third-party API usage.

  • Better product alignment: Promotes the use of Zoho’s integrated AI tools across your own services.

Requested Enhancement:

Please allow users to enable and use sentence auto-completion, email content generation, and summarization entirely through Zia, with no dependency on OpenAI API keys.

Please also make sure that this Zia Integration will support Hebrew.

We believe this would offer a more seamless, secure, and cost-effective experience for all Zoho Mail users.
