Key Takeaways from Our India Community Meetups | Lets Talk Recruit

Welcome back to Let’s Talk Recruit, the series where we bring you real stories, product insights, and community highlights from the world of recruitment. Our last post covered how you can build approval processes with zero follow-ups using Recruit.

In this edition, we're excited to share the experiences and takeaways from our latest round of Zoho Recruit Community Meetups across India.

Over the past few months, we had the opportunity to connect with our incredible user base in person. From product feedback to best practices, these meetups gave us valuable insights into how Zoho Recruit is being used across different industries—and how we can continue improving the experience for you.

📍 Where We Went

We hosted meetups across four cities this year:
  • Mumbai – WeWork, Bandra Kurla Complex
  • Hyderabad – Zoho Office
  • Bangalore – Cowrks, RMZ Infinity
  • Chennai – WeWork, DLF Downtown
Each location offered a great environment for open discussions, hands-on demos, and networking among recruitment professionals.

📊 Attendance Highlights

This year’s community meetups saw the highest participation we’ve ever had, with each city drawing a larger and more engaged crowd than in previous years. Whether it was long-time users or first-time attendees, the energy and curiosity in the room were clear indicators of how deeply invested our community is in making the most of Zoho Recruit. Here's how turnouts have progressed over the past three years:

Compared to previous years, we observed a significant increase in both registrations and actual turnout, with many users attending with teammates, hiring managers, or even full TA teams. The rising interest year-over-year tells us one thing: in-person community meetups are more valuable than ever—both as a space to learn and a space to be heard.

🎤 What We Heard

Feedback sessions were the heart of these meetups. Users shared their challenges, ideas, and wishes for what they'd love to see in future updates.

A few major themes emerged across cities:
  • More automation & customization: From smarter workflows to role-based layouts, users are looking to make Zoho Recruit fit even better into their specific recruitment processes.
  • Stronger integrations: Whether it's syncing with Zoho People, using Zoom for interviews, or pulling in verified PAN & Aadhar data, connectivity is a top priority.
  • Improved usability: Users requested enhancements to modules like Career Site, Approvals, and Hiring Pipeline to make navigation and actions faster and more intuitive.
  • Advanced reporting: Across teams, there's a strong push for deeper analytics—tracking approval SLAs, hiring stage timelines, and recruiter performance.
  • Candidate experience: Many suggestions centered around improving how candidates interact with Recruit—via resume parsing, self-scheduling, or mobile-friendly forms.
These conversations not only guide our product roadmap but also reflect how deeply our users care about optimizing hiring.
