Searching in View
Hi! Is there anyway of adding a search bar in the view, or adding a filter that will search anything a user enters rather than setting up a filter option (There is no option for Equals to Anything) ? There is current an Equals to in there, but that means I'd have to enter every word in the dictionary to have a specific result! Thank you,
Limit number of records displayed in a subform
How can I limit the number of records displayed in a subform, both when it is displayed in a view and when the detail is opened to edit. We gather monthly statics on clubs in Africa. Years of data is collected, and I only want the user to see the current year at a time. Our main form has club info with a subform for attendance records. XML RPC API Issue
hi, I am using XML RPC API "http://www.zoho.com/creator/help/api/xml-rpc-api/xml-rpc-api-add-records.html" for adding 20 records to my form. I have prepared the required XML request as per the your documentation and made a request. But in the response I am only getting the last record with 'Success' status. Feature Request: Merge records
Hi, I've recently started developing an application for our organisation. The data that has been imported has some duplicates, and this is causing problems with our records. It would be great if in one of the views, I could select two records and click on "Merge" (which would display any conflicts, as well), and fix up any record relations. Is this on the cards?
Sum of field on related table
Good Afternoon, I am trying to find a solution to the following and haven't been able to find any help articles on it. In a table called Client I have a field called Total. I have a table called OpenItems with a field called Value I would like the Total field to be the sum of the Value field when the ClientID field matches. How do you change the value of a List() element?
The help documentation is clear about how to add and delete (remove) an element from a List(). But, unless I'm missing something, there's no explanation on how to change the value of an element in a List() using an index. picklist criteria
hi folks, i am trying to add a date criteria to my picklist however i am not quite sure how can it be done. the scenario is i only want the list on form B to show result that match the current input date on form A, so i put something like this in the criteria Date_field == input.Date_field but obviously this was not allowed, hope you guys can help. thanks!

Display uploaded image in exported pdf
I'm trying to export a pdf that displays an image that was uploaded. When I view the html view online, I can see the images. BUT, when I export the view to the pdf, the image disappears. Do I need to reference the image differently when export it in a pdf? I have set permissions but have not checked edit record. but in my data view (list) I am still seeing bulk edit still available. View OK. Not edit record.

Fetch records based on a form date field then update the collected records
Hi I have a form with a date field so i fetch a range of dates like this rangetocancel = Hospital_Rooms [(Date1 >= anycancel.Admission_Date && Date1 <= anycancel.Discharge_Date)]; seems to work as the collection holds 4 records and there are 4 dates from admission to discharge Then i want to update another field in the same form rangetocancel.room1 = "empty"; BUT it only seems to modify the first date Admission Date not the date range from Admission to Discharge any ideas ?
How to count records that meet criteria and show in HTML View?
I have an HTML view that acts as a home page for an app. On it, I want to show some usage metrics for the app: - # Available Items - # Expired Items - # Items Added in last 30 days from today Example: "43 Available Items 16 Expired Items 10 Added in Last 30 Days" How can I count these records On Load and display them in the HTML View? Will this slow the view down as more records are added to the app?

Unable to get functional URL to work
I have a application with a View and which to use a functional url to access the view and set the criteria. This seems very streight forward enough accordsing to the documentation, but although my view does display it completly ignores my criteria setting and defaults to displaying all the records. Picklist from same form?
Hello, I have a contact form where each contact has a recruiter, and each contact can be a recruiter. I want to have a field 'Recruiter' in the contact form, which tracks the recruiter of each contact. I would like the recruiter field to be a pick list of all the contacts. Thus the picklist 'Recruiter' on form 'Contact' refers to the 'Name' field also on form 'Contact' Is this possible? If not, can you see a workaround? Thanks, Kenny
What script should I use to open a view with the same criteria?
I have a view with a custom function. the function opens an edit window on click and when the edit is committed it returns the user to the view with the edits implemented. The script that returns the user to the main view is: openUrl("#View:Tasks", "same window"); However, when a user selects a filter to narrow their view and then uses the custom function, the user is returned to the view WITHOUT the previously selected filter. I have a form called Stores_info. Stores contains a field called Store_ID that is unique for each store. I have shared my app sportspenguin with support. I have a PayPal business account. It is an app that basically acts as a classified ad list for people to sell things. An anonymous person can list an item to either be given away or to sell for a price. They list their item on the 'Item' form. If they list an item for free, there's no cost and no need for Paypal. Here the field 'Asking_Price' in the Item form = 0. The item will be listed for x Months where the user specifies the number of months.

Sorting has no effect on the order
Hi, i'm trying to process data in small batches and i have a hidden field called "RecalcPending" that by default contains the value TRUE. After the script processes one line it sets the value to FALSE. And setting the sort condition to Asc or Desc has no effect and the 130 or so lines of data never get processed by this script. I can see them in the view but so they have to be stored somewhere and the sort condition is not doing what it should do. Here is the for each line where the sorting is with
Common field between a form and a subform
I am working on a job order application. It has a subform with staff assignment to that particular job. If I go into the staff view, it shows no association to the parent form. I want to be able to go into the staff view and see a column of the job order number the particular subform was entered under. How can I accomplish that? I hope I am explaining it right :)

Adding fields
Hello, I have a form called 'drawings' and I want to have some fields where users add notes about the drawings. These notes are 'operations' The problem I have is each drawing will have different operations, some only 2 operations, others maybe 12. Each operations will have a run time too, so 10mins for operation 1 and maybe 30 mins for operations 2 (for example) What is the best why to deal with this? I hope I have explained it well enough, I am new to zoho but so far it's bloody amazing so far.
Updating Field with another Field's Data in the same form on Input or Update
Looking for help with the following: I have three fields in my form: Bid Price Final Price Result I need the form to automatically update the Final price with the Bid Price when the Result = "Successful". Anyone have a script or can point me in the right direction? I'm confused as to whether I need to attach the script to the Result field to update the Final Price or if the script needs to be attached to one of the other fields and what the script would look like. How to clear a text field in an on edit on load script?
The clear command doesnt seem to be used for common text fields. I need to clear a text field on edit on load with a script. How can I do this? I cant just add a " " (blank space) because it needs to be completed and compared to another field for accuracy. Please advise. Thanks.

In my app, I need to change the status of a record from Available to Unavailable after 30 days pass from the date when the record was created. How do I do this? PDF URL request ignored?
Every-time I put in the same script two PDF URL to be open one after the other, the first request is ignored. This is new didn't happen some months ago. For example, I need to save in -my downloads- a PDF containing some records with my contact info.
