Zoho Commerce - Poor Features Set for Blogging

Hi Zoho Commerce team,

I'm sure you will have noticed that I have been asking many questions about the Blogs feature in Commerce.

I thought that it would be useful if I share my feedback in a constructive way, to highlight the areas which I feel need improvement. I've recently seen the BETA Microstore feature and I'm surprised that you are focusing on adding new features, when core features already badly need updates. As a Zoho enthusiast, I want to see mature features which provide the best possible experence, rather than lots of limited feaures which provide an average exeperience.

Blogs - Suggested Improvements
A user's expectation is based on thier last best experience. I've had a lot of experience using WordPress and I expect other blogging platforms to be on par with that.

1. Blog List View
  1. As a minimum I would expect to see the Published Date and Author in addition to what you already show on the list view.
  2. The number of comments would also be useful, with a link to the Blog Comments filtered for that specific post.
  3. The ability to customise the columns would be helpful, so users could show Categories or Tags based on their requirements.
  4. The ability to search or filter blog posts based on any of the available columns.
  5. Under Categories and Tags, provide a related list of posts based on the Category or Tag selected (however, this is less important if a user can filter the list of Blog Posts by Category or Tag).


2. Blog Post Details
  1. Show the Published Date and allow the user to change it
  2. Show the Author and allow the user to change it
  3. Allow the user to unpublish a post, make changes and republish or schedule republishing.

I hope you can see from this feedback, that a low level of effort would be reuqired to enhance the Blogs feature and make it more closely alig with what we expect from this type of feature.

Thanks for considering this feedback and please understand that I am sharing this as I want to encourge the addoption of Zoho Commerce by more businesses, and I know this is one area which is a pain point on a couple of my client proposals.
