Depenencies
Dear all, Zoho project is great but the dependencies is totally worthless. It seems to me that the only way to remove a dependency is via the Dependency View and that view is really terrible. There must be a way to group the task by task list and milestone or at least apply a filtering to the list. It's impossible to find a task when you have hundreds within a project. EDIT: Found a way to remove dependencies in the Gantt view. Great improvement for my workflow! Also, if I wish to insert a task
Resource Utilization
The old resource utilization layout allowed a person to view utilization on a monthly basis. The new layout only allows a person to view resources for a period of a week. Can we get a monthly view or a custom defined period option to view? It is hard to gauge our company's capacity only looking outward a week at a time. Any help would be appreciated.

Milestone and task list dependency
Hi, I have just set up a test project in Zoho and have a question about milestones. I added a milestone and some task lists associated with it. Then I set the work hours for the tasks to more than could be done before the milestone was to be ended. Now the Gantt chart correctly shows that the milestone ends before the task list, but I get no warning about this. I would need a warning that the associated milestone will not be completed in time if I for example extend a task that due to dependencies

Task details via API no longer returning array of task owners
Until today, we had no problem with the task details API call. Today, when we call for all task details for a particular task, the API is not pushing any data to the "details" object, where the "owners" array has always been stored before. All other values we expect outside of "details" are being returned as normal and without flaw. But the "details" object is simply empty. Has there been a change in the API? The docs don't reflect any intended change. Perhaps this is a short-term bug? If
Contact info
Is there any functionality within Zoho Projects to store contact information? I use CRM and projects but want to have specific contact info on specific projects - contact info that can be accessed by project users who are not CRM users. I want to store email addresses, phone numbers, geographical address and business info - within specific projects. Can this be done?

Based on the plan you have chosen, disk space will be allocated for the entire portal (i.e. organization). To know the disk space used for the organization portal, mouse over the bar on the top right hand corner, below the Settings link. Google Apps appears to have created a 2nd portal in my account instead of linking to my existing Zoho Projects. 1) I would like to be able to link the correct portal to my Google Apps account 2) I would like to remove the 2nd portal. How can I do this?

Cannot link a Zoho document with a bug. Why?
We've decided to use bugs rather than tasks to handle all of our team's assignments since they support agile better. Unfortunately it appears that currently there's no easy way to link a bug with a Zoho document that has already been added to the project documents. I think it's a serious oversight. A bug's attachments tab allows to upload local files but not to attach Zoho documents. It should do both.
Is there a way to list projects from different portals?
I'm a member of several portals and work on projects in all of them. Currently when i login i only see projects from my "home" portal. In order to see others i have to click on my avatar icon in the upper right corner and click on the "My portals" link, which shows all of the portals. Then i click on the desired portal and only then can select the project. This is rather unnecessarily awkward. All of my projects should be visible on the main dashboard.

We were about to integrate a file uploader to our project creation form to attach files to new projects in Zoho, but we saw this notification on the Documents API section: The Documents API will be deprecated as it will shortly be merged with Zoho Docs. Is there documentation on how to use the Zoho Docs API to push documents specific to project IDs? Export File 'Date Fields' saved as text versus date format for excel
This caused a big problem when trying to import same file Zoho Projects had created in the export - all of the dates *looked* good but they were text and had to be re-entered one at a time, as excel wouldn't reformat the fields from text to dates - it didn't know how. But this was the exact file that zoho projects had created. Developers need to fix this so that the export data in the date columns is indeed dates and not text. Thanks.

Hi, we are doing an integration of Zoho Project with our personal platform, to control the total time of projects from client/programer, but since you deliver the new API, almost all project got a new id/token, so all project are duplicated. That new id/token come from the new API, or im wrong ?
Export / Import Field Names Mismatched Zoho Projects
Ok - I just did an export from Zoho Projects - beautiful xls file to use. I revamped a few dates and added a few tasks in excel. Saved to CSV Went to import what I saved, and zoho projects doesn't recognize its own field names/column titles from the excel file it created - hmmmm.... hey guys - how about some standardization here - you should be able to map to your own field names. Also a big drag to not be able to put in the task lists you want / update existing tasks, etc... but it's pretty basic

Users - deleting and editing
Hello I have 1 questions about users: 1/ How do I delete users from a project? Do I need to have Portal Admin rights? I have tried the instructions in the User Guide but they do not work at all. 2/ How can I amend user details ie the spelling of a person's name? It appears that I can only amend my own details which would be crazy as it means I would have to sit with each person in the office to change the way they have spelt their names. Thanks
Tasks and Subtask Indenting and Outdenting incorrectly handled
Hi Projects Support team, There is a problem with indenting and outdenting tasks and subtasks. If you add a task you cannot get the task to sit in the correct position within the project. Two obvious scenarios: i. If I create a task, then try to place it at a level between two other tasks, it becomes a subtask to either one of the tasks. This is completely wrong! ii. If I want to make it a task, then it has to be dropped at the top of the list - becoming a subtask to a header. iii. Reordering DOES

Does anyone know if its possible to merge the tasks and miles stones of a number of projects into one report? I have a number of projects that are all for one client and would like to send them a monthly summary report of all of them together (rather than printing off one by one and re-scanning). No option to book time against a bug

How to sort tasks by USER
I am about to start adding other members of our team as users in ZOHO Projects. I will be assigning them to tasks. We will have a large number of tasks with different users assigned to them. When these new users log in - how do they sort the tasks so that they can see all the tasks assigned to them all grouped together so they are not having to search through long lists of tasks to find what they need to work on? If no browser window is open, it shall run unobstrusively on the system without disruptions . Associate Vendor to Project
We would like to keep our accounts section strictly for customers and not include our vendors. We want our vendors to all be listed under the vendors ribbon. The reason for this is we want everyone in the company to be able to access all of the vendors but we don't want everyone to access all of the accounts. The problem I'm having is I would like to associate vendors to projects but it says they have to have an account. Is there a way to turn this requirement off. I tried to find it in customization

Hi there, After I reviewed the Gantt Charts, I felt there would be a need for me to adjust dependencies. The way I'm doing is go back to Tasks, click Dependency and then change the numbers of predecessors…do you have a better way to do that? like what you got is what you see? Thanks for your help.
