Zoho Creator XML?
I am trying to use XML/SWF Charts with Zoho Creator data. XML/SWF charts uses XML elements to create charts. What is the best way to do this? I am new at this. Thanks in advance. Does anyone have experience with advanced charting with Zoho Creator data. I feel that Zoho Creator built in chart function does not do the job.
Function return error
Hi, I have written a function to convert the contents of two fields in to a date-time field. The field called CMISDate (dd-mm-yyy hh:mm:ss) always has the hh:mm:ss set to 00:00:00 as that is the format I import from my clients XLS file Another import field called Time (text) format. This will contain a time such as 14:00. My function aims to take the CMISDate and convert to a string, split off the prefix at the [SPACE] and then append a [SPACE] + Time + ":00" to create a string variable that matches
Predefine text in multi line fields?
Hi I am now trying to built a new important system for us. Everytime an engineer makes a change to a drawing we need to inform other person within our company. The change need to contain a list of the deleted items (needed info. position no.+ item no.) and the to match added items(needed info. position no.+ item no.). My challenge is that at anytime we must be able to searh for both a posion number and the material number. If this would be created in a spreedsheet it would look like the attached!
Filter using getPrefix() error
I have a field with entries that have a single alpha followed by an equal sign. I'm trying to set up the following filter "Call FollowUp" : Task.getPrefix("=") == "c" However, I'm getting the following error.

Zoho creator is very nice base. I would get out trigonometric tan of 12.25 degrees. and the formula grad.tan () the correct sum is 0.198912367 but for the wrong numbers -3.84524352604626 come up. Maybe I m gain entry angle = Deg. But how? best regards Veli Orre
Stateless form to get sendto email????
I want to create a custom action from a view that asks for the sendto email address and then sends details from the current record in the view. I have everything working except the ability to get the sendto email address. The sendto email address is not stored in any form in this application so I can not access it. Hi: I have a Stateless Form with a Multiple Select CheckBox field ... let us call it Fruits ... and the individual Check Boxes are Apple, Banana, Cherry and Dingo. a) There is no Design (Edit) time facility to set initial values for the individual Check Boxes ... so I am trying to set them via script in the form's on Load section ... but I can neither find an example syntax in the Help documents for it ... nor did I succeed by trying out various Text/ListString values ... can someone provide a syntax

Hi I have created a view with one of my shared users. I have set the permission to *add record, duplicate record *edit -and bulk edit *delete record But nevertheless I cannot edit. Form Embedding Not working in some browsers
When I embed the form onto my existing website, it seems work ok with Firefox and Chrome, but not IE and Maxthon. Does it have anything to do with the security settings in IE and Maxthon? Thanks in advance. Regards, --Wei

Can't connect today or connection timing out. Can't create new issues inside the application... We have to go to zoho.com, then click creator, then log back in/... And it goes down again!! Is it on your side? Could it be a bug in my application? Help!

Unable to Edit Records in View Mode
when attempting to edit a record in View mode the pop up window will not display properly. The pop up window will distort half way down with the inability to edit any fields past a certain point. The submit button will not appear and any fields past the half way point overlap and distort graphically as well. this is only happening on mac versions of firefox browser. ZOHO Creator Limits for Forms and Views ...
Hi: I am working on a Project where the Client needs about 53 Fields in a single Table (Form) ... averageing 15 to 25 characters per field. So my related questions are ... a) What is the limit on the maximum number of Fields that can be Added/Edited on a Form ? b) What are the maximum number of Columns (and total Characters) when displaying a View of such a Table ? c) Are there any other considerations when attempting to deploy such large records ? Cant open uploaded documetn from view
I have a view that includes some upload fields from a secondary table. When I click on the file name I get a message You are not authorised to access this in Zoho Creator. Go to Home. Problem saving changes

All my applications have disappeared!
I took a break from developing an application and, when I came back to the computer, all my applications had disappeared. A browser window which still shows the application, when I click any tab, form, view etc. just says "There is no such in Zoho Creator". I have the application shared to another user and it is still listed. However, clicking just produces "There is no such application in Zoho Creator". I am very happy to see in your "tips and tricks" section a workaround for subform. I gladly used it in my TradeMaster application. In "PO-items" View you can see "add shipments" and "edit shipments" fields, which, upon click, pops up a subform or subform View window. This is so far cool. However, there is a setback. The "Master shipment tracking" View in TradeMaster has an issue. I intended to include a field "PO-items.vendor_ship_date". Once I selected this field, the View will not run properly, with the error message "unable to fetch data". Now I have excluded this field and the View works properly. I am a serious user and my application TradeMaster is now in use in my small trading business. So far it has proven to be indispensible. One big wish I have is querries. In my case, I have Form SKUs which records all product info, Form Purchase orders which records all PO's, Form PO-items which records items under each PO, and Form shipment which lists shipments each PO-item makes. "shipment" is related to "PO-items" via "ID" of "PO-items"; "PO-items" is related to "Purchase orders" via "MTA PO#"

Choice in dropdown menu, affects value in otherdropdown menu

Choice fields with numeric values
It would be very useful to have choice fields (Dropdown or radio for example) that allow the user to select an integer value. Currently, they only store String values. Another solution would be to provide Zoho functions to convert string to numeric in deluge script or formula. Thanks! yassurlenet

Sorting by Summed Group Totals
Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to sort by the summed totals for groups. For example, I have a list of players who have scored goals over various seasons. Grouping by name gives me the total for each player, but if I then sort by goals it only sorts the goals for each player per season, not their respective totals. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Running Totals and #of records
I can't seem to find a way to keep a running total in a list of entries. For example, if I wanted to do a check register, how would I keep a running balance. Other databases I have used would let you code a reference to 'this field in previous entry'. Creator API access question
I'm trying to access Creator via a REST request and am having issues with the authentication. If I'm logged in then the request goes through. I can't find documentation though on how to pass an auth token with the request. I was under the assumption that the api key is enough for authentication. I'm kind of a newbie to this though.
