Importing Multiple Records from an Excel Spreadsheet
Hi there, When I was trying to import multiple records from a CSV file to your database, I came across a problem when I used MS Excel to generate the file for cutting and pasting into the database. The problem I had with Excel was that the "Notes" field in my database, which contains a lot of text, displayed as a series of hatch characters. Text Size and other attributes
When I change the size of "Notes" on a form, they are never reflected in the actual form. The size will change on the creation page, but when the form is actually used they show only a single size, and it is smaller than the other default type on the page. JL jlehman
Apostrophe in Instructions Causes Truncated Text
Hi! I type text containing an apostrophe into the Instructions box of a single line text field then save it. When I access the application (or return to the Instructions to edit them) everything from the apostrophe on is missing. Thanks for fixing this. Cheers!
Problems with views
Hi The last 4-5 days I really have problems to create new views. The ones that I create, when they are "saved" they do not contain the restricted data - at all. Nothing is actually working. I am working in the layout mode, and my idea is that this might not be the best mode to create new views in? This is a big problem to us! My apll. is shared to support. Update a total
I saw the expense chart application that keeps track of a total amount separate from a form where you enter a certain amount and then shows it in chart view. However, I want to be able to edit the running total if a certain record is updated. Say, if I had a form expenses where uses can enter the data, another form keeps track of the total for each person. But if a person makes a mistake on the expenses form and decides to edit it, how could i change the total in the other form?
How to keep track of e-mails sent
I have a script that sends automatic e-mails when a record is added or updated. I want to be able to keep track of what type, when, to whom and from whom the e-mail was sent. I was thinking of having a new form with all these fields available but I don't know how to populat a table just through scripting and without using the form. I know that it is possible to edit specific records using the fetch function. Is it possible to add records, though?
Automatic Line Break in Multiline Field
I have created a script to update a multiline field when another field is updated. This appends the selection onto the end of the multiline field. I would like to make add a carriage return or line break so that each time new data is appended it will be on a new line. How do I do that?
Filtered pages can't be sorted
Go to http://creator.zoho.com/maureenshea/links/view/109 which is set to be sorted by Page. Now open the Filter dropdown and choose CallaLilyBouquets and you'll see they're no longer sorted. Click the Page column and they're still not sorted maureenshea

Can you add a column automatically to online database of when a record is added to the database from a web-embedded form. Something like "Date created"? And allow the records to be sorted by date. Export Options
Great Tool! Here's my thing: Is there a way to export the data from my Applications so that it can be printed directly? I'd LOVE if it could end up looking like the Summary View, with one record pr page. The PDF view is really strange, just tries to cram everything onto one page, and that's not very helpful. Function sorks with one parm, fails with two.
I am trying to write a function to calculate a sales total, based on radio button choices that I can use in multiple applicatiions. I've spent a lot of time looking at this. Either I am missing something really obvious, or perhaps I am going about this all wrong. The total is changed correctly when the function just has one parameter (type=string). I need a total of 5 or more. When I add the second one, the ZOHO form will either hang or I get a zero result. Could this be a bug? cindychoi108
How to Update empty Record
How to assign data for the fields in the record in the form, if this form do not contain yet any records? I have two forms. I want to modify some fields in one of them, after submitting another one. If the first one already has records - I can modify them. But if the first one do not have any records - I can not. So, is it possible to create the record from another form (update empty record)?

Can lookup list contain combined fields
Great product. Question - I have a People form having first and last name fields. I want to have another form to enter items that belong to a person. A Lookup on People seems to be the right way, but I can't make the dropdown show "lastname, firstname". I need both fields to uniquely identify the person. Is this possible?

Carriage returns for multiline text fields

Edit and change another field
Hello I have a form with a money value that when OnAdd, add this field value to a "total" field on another form - something like "PoorMan groupsby"... My problem is when I edit the records I don't know how to update the "remote" record. What value should I add? The diference between the initial and the edited? It seems good idea. Automatic cursor position when form is opened
I have a form that i use a barcode scanner with. The form operates great other than i have to click into the first text box before i can scan another item. I would like it to automatically put the cursor in the first text box so when my scanner does its carriage return the data is submitted and i can scan another item without clicking inside the text box.

Previously we have typed in manually the field "submitted by", "from dept" and "email". I would like to enhance the form. I have two types of groups that can schedule on my form: those that can schedule morning or afternoon trips, and those that can schedule all day trips. Copy records for registration renewal
