Workflow Rules triggered on Mass Delete and on Using Macros

Workflow Rules triggered on Mass Delete and on Using Macros

We have been constantly improving our Workflow Management feature by introducing Time Based Actions, Workflow trigger on Delete, and Workflows for Activities Module.

To give a better user experience and to address our customer requirements we have released a few more enhancements:
  • Earlier, workflow rules were triggered if records were individually modified. Now, Workflow Rules will also be triggered for records that have been modified using Macros and Mass Update features.
  • In Workflow Alerts, you can specify the recipients that include the email address of the record (lead, contact, etc.), record owner, record creator and email address in the parent record. Additionally, now you can also send alerts to the Creator and Owner of the Parent record.

For example: Jack, the Sales Manager owns 5 Accounts. Sales Executives, Ben and Catherine, are assigned a Potential each that will be closing this week. Jack wants to get notified when the deal is won or lost, so he creates a Workflow Rule that will be triggered when the Potential's status is changed. He associates a Workflow Alert to the Rule and adds Account Owner to the recipient's list. That way, he will get an email when the potential associated to account that he owns, is won or lost.

Do try the Workflow Management that is available in the Professional and Enterprise Editions and let us know what else you would like to see in this feature.
