Tasks, Events and Calls. If you are in Sales or Customer Support, these modules are the most important to you. Be it a Meeting, a Demo Call or a Remote Support Session, you need to keep track of them in these modules. Thus, it's only fair that most of your activities are automated in these modules.
Take this scenario that @jimmyvandijk shared with us in a recent discussion:
- An activity is planned/linked for a contact
- I want to e-mail my linked contact 2 days before the activity, to remind him
- I want zoho to automatically send my contact an e-mail after the activity, to thank him. Of course, it would be nice to add $values from the activity module to the email.
This is one of the cases where it is necessary to use Workflow Rules for the Activities Module (i.e Tasks, Events and Calls) and Zoho CRM now lets you do this.
