Updating Sales orders on hold
Surely updating irrelevant fields such as shipping date should be allowed when sales orders are awaiting back orders? Maybe the PO is going to be late arriving so we have to change the shipment date of the Sales order ! Not even allowed through the api - {"code":36014,"message":"Sales orders that have been shipped or on hold cannot be updated."}
How would you handle Warranty replacement parts or items in zoho inventory
Hi everyone, I'm working on setting up zoho inventory for our distribution business. We handle the service for our customers and will replace items that malfunction under a warranty basis. Does anyone else do this and how do you set it up in inventory? Do you have to create a sales order and if you want to the original item back, do you use a RMA? If so, how is it done so there isn't a credit memo associated with it? Thanks, Tim

Show backordered items on packing slip
Is it possible to show a column on the Packing Slip that shows number of backordered items when a PO is only partially filled? I would also like to see the Backordered column appear on POs after you receive items if you didn't get ALL of the items or partial amounts of items. And lastly, it would be nice to have the option of turning on the Backordered column for invoices if you only invoice for a partial order. -Tom

What stops me from packaging and shipping an order when the inventory is negative?
It seems if the inventory value is negative, that Zoho Inventory should not allow me to create a Package and Ship it. But, there seems to be nothing to stop me from doing that other than when I go to physically package the item and realize that there is no stock. There also seems to be nothing on the screen that even indicates to me that I should not package and ship. To me this is the fundamental point of an inventory system. Am I doing something wrong?
