What is the mywiki.do functionality about?
Hi folks, [Sorry this message likely previously got posted to moderation queue, as forum picked up wrong user when I first posted it.] When logged in to a wiki, if you choose Hamburger menu > My Home, you reach a page at https://[wikiname].wiki.zoho.com/mywiki.do, with several tabs, including My Wikis. Each wiki listed shows two links, one with the name of the wiki, and the other with a URL to the wiki spelled out. The latter takes you to the wiki as expected. But the former does something strange.Some dialogs position outside browser window
The following menu items grey out the current page and put up dialogs outside the bounds of the current window. This gives the appearance of the browser being dead. Page options menu Copy to Add subpage Hamburger menu Support Observed in Firefox latest on Windows. Using a multimonitor system. Works fine on center monitor, but when the browser is on the left or right monitor the problem occurs. Apparently the dialogs are positioning relative to desktop, but can't be seen when they are outside theView Image issues
First, is there a widget, setting or embedding method which allows us to place an image into a wiki page at a reduced size (that part is easy!) appropriate to the page, but allows users to click to expand image to see details? I didn't find a way to do this, so as a fallback I tried using the browser View Image function, and also the drag-image-to-new-tab method. (I tried Firefox and Chrome latest versions.) However, that method doesn't work on zoho wiki images. Instead, the browser puts up anSite map widget for page or nav bar
I've been looking for how best to present navigation to users on zoho wiki. I have seen the following, each of which has shortcomings: The nav sidebar navigation widget, but that's limited by how each time you explore a branch it closes other branches, and also omits the top of the tree as you drill down. The Site Map, which shows the complete site, but (a) is painfully slow due to using a very slow animation speed and (b) for edit-enabled users, it is always in "drag to rearrange our pages" modeDocs for Delete wiki are incorrect or outdated?
On page https://zohowikihelp.wiki.zoho.com/Delete-Wiki.html, the instructions for deleting a wiki don't seem to correspond to the actual site. Steps from the instructions: Login [OK] Go to Wiki menu > Dashboard [OK] There's no list of wikis on that page. However, if instead we go to Hamburger menu > My Home, we do see a list of wikis. (Except in some cases that page seems to have a "Organizational wikis" tab which the My Home menu item goes to. Not sure why. I have been testing the custom CSS feature, and am very encouraged to see that it can apply to any area of the page, not just the content. To deploy this in earnest, a couple of things could use additional illumination: 1. For which pages type does zoho wiki include the customer-supplied CSS file? Yes for wiki pages obviously, and also for the Dashboard page, but not for Settings. Also Yes for the page editor, apparently. Anyhow, rather than figuring this out by trial and error, could we have a listZoho wiki: how to change owner?
Is it possible to change the owner of a zoho wiki, and if so, where are the settings for this?The "Rename Page" feature suggests incorrect name
The Rename Page function brings up a small dialog with the Page Name edit box pre-filled. It should be pre-filled with the current page name, so that it can be edited easily. Instead, it contains the current page name, but with all spaces replaced with hyphens. Apparently this is using logic applicable to setting a new URL or something. Hi Folks, Is there a way to have the wiki pages display without the editing affordances (buttons, links, + signs) most of the time, even for members with edit permissions, and have a single button that enables those features for when the member really wants to edit the page, or add a page etc? All those edit features are visually noisy, distracting from the main point of a page, and they also encourage accidental clicks that could cause unintended damage. In IE, if you operate the Hamburger, Workspace or Wiki menus (at the top of a wiki page) more than once, they stop working (do nothing). You have to reload the page to get them to operate, again just once. IE F12 developer tools console shows the code throwing an exception at: var userDropDownMenu=$("zw-topdropdown");return userDropDownMenu? Folks: I see how to change the location of a page using the "site map" tree with drag-and-drop. However, if we accumulate a large number of pages, it will become impractical to move a page from one large branch to another far away on the tree. I looked for a page-level dialog which might simply allow to change the parent of a page but didn't find one. Did I miss something? Or is there some other method to reparent? 1. Ultimate confusion : The "Checked" state is a green check mark. The "unchecked" state is an orange-brown check mark. Ie: unchecked is represented by a check mark ! (And these are probably indistinguishable by someone with red-green colorblindness.). 2. The interaction of the checkboxes and the Save button is inconsistent and dangerous . What is the status of Zoho Wiki? In reading some pother forum posts I see there are no planned new features or enhancements which isn't an issue for me. I would like ot know if Zoho wiki will continue as a product or will it go the way of Zoho Planner. In one forum post someone mentioned moving content from Zoho Wiki to Zoho Sites. Two completely different use cases, in no way can Zoho Sites replace Zoho Wiki. The last several weeks I am having problem logging into the Wiki platform to update our content. While it works on Mondays - Friday, recently every weekend I can't login. The login keeps going back to the opening page of the Wiki. I have tried using Chrome, Firefox, and Opera but none can login whereas on Monday it works without any issues. Regardless of how I embed the video, the code is truncated. I have discussed this issue with Zoho tech, and Iframe supposedly poses a security threat. When I use standard html coding, the video will appear in the preview pane, and editing window. Once it is submitted it is immediately truncated; sometimes blank, and sometimes "null". I have two web sites, XSDetect.com and Club50001.com, which use Zoho Wiki pages in a frameset. Both sites have home pages which are supposed to be open to the public, so the Wiki home page, which shows by default in the frameset, has public access permissions while some of the linked wiki pages are restricted. Recently both sites have stopped working because Zoho is challenging everyone for an ID regardless of the fact that only a public-access page is being displayed. What I'd like to do is set up categories within a wiki and each category would contain its own info (in sub pages). As I'm planning my wiki I'm thinking in terms of categories so here's what I'm trying to figure out: I know the "Navigate pages" section lists all pages and sub pages in what might be considered a categorical fashion. But when I open a main page I'd like to see that page's sub pages listed on that page. Does that make sense? In other words, if I have a page (category) called "Places'Add new admin' BUG?..
With a free of charge plan, I am able to add up to 3 users as administrators, right?.. But when I'm trying to do that, then I'm getting an error message: "You must subscribe to a plan for adding admin."... I am creating a bilingual wiki and need to know what Zoho Wiki capabilities are before I design the structure of the wiki. Ideally, I would create one large wiki with pages in English and duplicate pages in French. When a French end-user comes to the wiki they would have option of changing the UI to French and reading the French content only. When an English end-user comes to the wiki they would have the option of changing the UI to English and reading the English content only. Is this possible?Is Zoho Wiki still being actively developed ?
