Template locks up
I imported a calendar template from Word, saved a copy, and all was well for a short time. But after a a week or so of editing it, the file locked up. When I clicked on some dates, nothing happened. When I tried to select all, only part of the calendar would be selected. Any thoughts?

Can I safely include a Writer URL in the front matter of a book I'm writing?
I am writing a book on paleontology for fourth-graders. I am preparing extensive source notes for claims that I make, a few of which are somewhat controversial. These will be for reviewers, not for my target audience. Rather than include all these notes in the book itself, would it make sense to put them in a publicly available Zoho Writer document and include its URL in the front matter of the book? Or is the URL structure unstable—might the Zoho folks change the required format a year or two
Save my own template and open a new file from template?
After fumbling around in Google docs, I decided to give this a whirl with Zoho... I have created a template for our business letterhead. I figured out how to save the template, however, it does not seem possible to create a new document from that template. Am I missing something obvious, or is this how it works right now? lost files have reappeared
i opened and closed Zoho several times and this last time the files reappeared. Don't know what happened but really glad to get my files back.
lost files lost all work
My zoho files are empty. the names of the two files are there but they are blank. i clicked on history and that is empty too. My internet is slow but i can use it so I do not think it is just slow to load. I have not used it for 45 days - but do no think it deletes if not used. Have not had that problem before. Is there any way I can recover my work?

Saving issue!!
Last night i completed a very important document using zoho, and after failed attempts to export it as a pdf, word document or odf file i printed i saved it in zoho and printed a hard copy. Well this morning when i went to try to export it again for submission, it is NOT saved!! I hit save multiple times to make sure and the work i did last night on it is GONE!! I looked at my hard copy thinking i would have to retype it, and the most recent word did not print last night either!!!! It was on the

Right-margin setting always defaults to 17" and screws up MS formatting when I change it to 7". It looks ok in the Web broswer, but when I save it as a .doc, it's all squashed into a 2" ribbon and is very hard to fix.

Why do you treat uploaded Word docs differently to Zoho Writer documents & bug in website layout
When you click on a text document in Zoho Docs it opens in a Zoho Docs tab and you have 2 options: Edit | Print Preview When you click on "Edit" and the document is a native Zoho Writer document, Zoho Writer is opened in a new browser tab. But if the document is an uploaded Word document and you click Edit, it will stay in the same Zoho Docs tab. As a consequence, you have much less screen space when editing a Word document as compared to editing a native Zoho writer document. I would prefer that
Latex equation editor Helllppppppppp !!!!!!
Hello everyone, Before Zoho was updated, I was able to click on insert and then select Equation Editor and the LATEX equation editor would appear. Now after clicking insert the equation editor appear and to go to the Latex equation editor, I have to click an extra bottom (popup equation editor). I know that it is just an extra click, but it is quite annoying to have to continually click twice to get to where I what to go. Does anyone know how to change this? Is it a Zoho setting or preference?
landscape printing

If Zoho Docs and Zoho Writer ever merge, which one's features are most likely to continue to be fully supported.
Web based applications can disappear or get upgraded (or downgraded) virtually overnight, unlike desktop apps. So there is a real risk of losing functionality that you depend on. I expect that sometime in the future, Zoho Docs and Zoho Writer will merge, or one will disappear. Comments? If that happens some features may disappear if your documents are written with the wrong app. Comments? If I want to insure that features that I depend on dont disappear, which app is more likely to keep its

Zoho writer editor not working on intranet servers
The Zoho writer editor couldn’t load the document content if our application is deployed on an internal server i.e. servers that are accessed by intranet (not exposed to the outside world). It works well on our beta env because this is an external facing server and can be accessed over the internet. We would like to get your suggestions on what changes should be made on our network or the implementation so that the Zoho writer editor can read the document content in our intranet servers. Thanks,
Writer collabedit mode: Document content not loaded when multiple users do save at almost same time
Hi, I was testing the edit/save option using ZOHO Writer and noticed that the document became unusable after a testing scenario. The editor doesn’t load the document content anymore. I tried using the option to check the status of the document and it returned {"result": {"docid":"89182","isPresent":"true","collaboratorsCount":"0"}} The “isPresent” status says true when there are no collaborators online. When I open the document in collaborative mode, the document is loaded and the message says Document ready for collaborative use. But for few users I see the message "Connecting to the server. Wasting screeen space
Zoho Writer wastes too much screen space. Why don't you add this simple but effective option to hide the upper menu bar in the same way as it is already possible in Zoho Docs. Zoho Writer GUI occupies too much screen space
I wished your developers checked Zoho Writer's webinterface on smaller laptop screens. They would see that quite some screen space is unnecessarily wasted. You could easily save one line by combining Feeds | Zoho Apps | Go Offline | Settings | Help | Feedback | My Account | Sign Out with the Menu items File and the tab of the open document.
chat windows and collaboration windows cant 'keep up' with scrolling
Hi, when scrolling even a little, the chat windows and collaboration windows embedded in Writer can't keep up. The sort of double up and consequently, you can't read the text. It's very frustrating when you're discussing an important document with collegues. I'm using Mac OS X and Safari. Please fix this.

There are so many problems with tables that I do not know where to start. Undo is not work. Copy paste is not working. I am using Firefox 3.0. How about removing support for tables until they work?

When I copypaste data into Writer, my page count... Goes down?
I had 94 pages in my document, and when I copypasted in some information I had written up, page count went down to 91. This isn't the first time it's happened, and considering that I'm in the middle of Script Frenzy, when page count is very important, I have concerns with this.

Working with PDF files
One feature that I believe would make Zoho Writer a "killer app" would be the ability to import PDF files for editing and then save the output to any standard file format. Currently the conversion utilities I have seen are very cumbersome. If this could be an integral part of Zoho Writer it would be a tremendous help
Double lleetteerrss in Safari
In Safari 5.0.4 for MacOS X 10.6.6 typed letters appear as pairs in Zoho Writer (lliikkee tthhiiss). That problem is unique to Safari. I already reported this to Apple, so far with no response.

Is there a way to add multiple rows or columns once a table has be made? I am finding it tedious to continuously have to right click to add only one row ....
