This email address already exists in another Zoho account

What happened?

You will get error messages like "email address already exists" if your email address is already linked with another Zoho account. This means you or someone might have created a Zoho account with this email address or added it as a secondary email to another account.

How to resolve this

First, you need to sign in to the account that already has the email address.
Idea
Don't remember the password for that account? Reset the password, then try signing in. If you still can't sign in to that account, contact our support team at support@zohoaccounts.com for further help.
Once you've signed in, you have two ways to resolve this issue:
  1. Remove the email address from the account
    Once you have removed the email address from this account, you can add that email address in any Zoho account. To remove your email address, refer to this article "How can I remove an email address from my account?"
  1. Close the account
    If you're no longer in need of this account, you can close it. To close this account, refer to this article "Close your Zoho account/organization"
