Mercado Pago Payment Integration


Super Admins and Admins can enable payments via Mercado Pago. Managers & Staff will not have access to this information.

Zoho Bookings facilitates service enablers or service providers to collect payments through Mercado Pago.
Info: This integration requires an account with Mercado Pago. Also, make sure that Mercado Pago services are available in your region.

Payments through Mercado Pago can be set up by following the steps below:

  1. Configure Payment Gateway
  2. Collect Payments on Bookings

I. Configure Payment Gateway

NoteWe have used the currency as US Dollars (USD) for the illustration.
      1. Click Integration on the top right corner of the menu panel, then click Payments on the left side panel. You will find mercado pago listed under the Connections Available section.



Note: Make sure that your location is in Mercado Pago's supported list of countries. The currency that you have set for your account under Basic Information (screen above) should be the same as that of your Mercado Pago account.

      2. Hover over mercado pago and click Configure.


      3. Enter the Country and Currency, then click Setup.



      4. You will be directed to login to your Mercado Pago account. Type the username and click Continue.


Type the password and click Enterokay.


      5. Mercado Pago is now enabled as a payment provider.
Note: In order to receive payments, Online Payments must be enabled.


NoteAt any give point in time, only one of the available payment gateways (listed above) can be configured. If a new payment gateway is set up while another is already active, the old one would be disabled.

      6. Click the Online Payments toggle button and change the status to "Enabled".


II. Collect Payments on Bookings

Info: A price is assigned to a Service, in order to collect payments when an appointment is booked.
  1. Customer initiates an appointment from the booking page and clicks Pay Now.
    Note: Choose a suitable Payment Type for your business needs against the corresponding Services under the Service Information tab. The available options are "Full Payment", "Deposit" and "Optional". The below page is when Payment Type is "Full Payment".



  2. The customer is directed to checkout for the required amount ($ 100 in this case).
    Note: The currency is automatically picked up from Basic Information under the General tab.


  3. Enter card details and click Continue.



  4. Complete the document and click Continue.



  5. Verify details and click Pay.



  6. The customer will be redirected to the Booking Summary Page, post payment. The status of the appointment is marked "Confirmed", if the payment is successful.



  7. The Appointment Summary in the account also reflects the same details.
