Google Drive for Zoho BugTracker
This extension lets you access your Google Drive and Google Shared Drive
accounts and associate your files with an issue in Zoho BugTracker. You
can use this extension to link relevant supporting documents or
resources with your issues.
Install Google Drive for Zoho BugTracker in your portal
- Navigate to
> Integration > Extensions.
- Click All in the left panel.
- Select the Google Drive for Zoho BugTracker extension.
- Click Install to proceed to installation.
- Set your preferences under the General section.
- Select the profile(s) and project(s) you want the extension to be shared with or given access to.
- Agree to the terms of use.
- Click Install Extension. You will be taken to the extension list page.
- Click Google Drive for Zoho BugTracker.
- Navigate to the Connections section.
- Sign in to your Google account
- Click Allow to permit Zoho Workflow to access your account
- Navigate to the Permissions section
- Select the profiles for which you would like to grant the access to associate or dissociate the folders or shared drives.
- Click Submit
Associate your GDrive files with an issue from the Issue details tab
- Navigate to your project and click an issue with which you want to associate files from your Google account.
- Select the Google Drive extension.
- Click Associate Files.
- Select the files you would like to associate.
- Your Google Drive, Google Shared Drives, and Shared with me files will be fetched and displayed here.
- You can select a maximum of 10 files at once.
- A maximum of 25 files (including the Shared Drive files) can be associated with an issue.
- Click Associate Files.
- One other way to do this is to click
to associate files from your Google Drive account.
- The file listing will be exactly like how the files are listed
on your Google Drive or Shared Drive account. We don't display files
that are shared with you over your Google Drive or Shared Drive account.
- To select files from a folder, navigate to the folder and select
the files that you would like to associate with the current issue.
- You cannot associate a folder via this extension.
Access associated files
- Navigate to your project and open an issue.
- Select the Google Drive extension.
- Click a file that has been associated with the issue. The file will open from its Google Drive location.
Delete an associated file
- Navigate to your project and open an issue.
- Select the Google Drive extension.
- Hover over a file and click the Trash icon
to delete. This action removes only the file's association with the issue.
- Confirm your action.
Download or move an associated file
- Navigate to your project and select an issue.
- Open the Google Drive extension.
- Hover over a file and click the download icon
. A copy of the file will be downloaded to your machine.
- If you want to move a file from Google drive to Documents, hover over the file and click Move.
Associate your GDrive files from the attachment picker
Be it inside an issue's details page or during the time you submit an
issue under a project or when you post a status, you will be able to
attach your files directly from your Google Drive account as any other
normal file that you would attach from your local computer.
Access your Google Drive extension as a module on the left-hand panel
Yes, you read it right! You can access this extension as a module or
one of the tabs on the left-hand panel of any project in Zoho
BugTracker.
- Navigate to your project and click Google Drive on the left-hand panel.
- Add, access, and manage your files from this view.
- Click the +New button to create a folder, Google doc, Google Sheet, or a Google Slide.
- Manage your Google Drive and Shared Drive folders in the left and
manage the files that belong to a specific folder in the centre.
Access or render your extension from the extension settings page
You can select the profiles for which you would like to grant the
access to associate or dissociate the folders or shared drives as part
of this extension in Zoho BugTracker.
- Navigate to the extension from the Setup page.
- Navigate to the Permissions tab in the Google Drive extension's settings.
- Complete the configuration and click Submit if you have not chosen the profiles that have to be granted permission to associate or dissociate folders in this portal.
