Overview

The Car inspection extension is a powerful visualization tool that displays two-dimensional images of a car from every direction, allowing users to mark various parts of the car and specify its damage information. This innovative and effective tool assists vehicle service providers and automobile industries in identifying damaged components of a car and adding remarks for further action.

Installing the Extension

To install the Car inspection extension:

  1. Go to Zoho Marketplace.

  1. Click Extensions in the top-left corner and select Zoho Creator.

  1. Search for the Car inspection extension and click Install.

  1. Create a new page or use the existing page to embed this extension as a widget.

Steps

  1. Open your application in edit mode and navigate to the required page that you want to embed the extension for. Hover over the screen and click Open Page Builder.

  1. Click Widgets on the left side pane.

  1. Under the Installed tab, drag and drop the Car Inspection extension widget to the required position on the page.

  1. Select the Page variables and scripts icon on the menu bar.  Select the Variables tab. 

  1. Add the below page variables to supply dynamic values to the page.

The record ID associated with the form

The link name of the subform associated with the  main form

damagedPartFieldLinkName

The link name of the field associated with the subform.

remarksFieldLinkName

The link name of the field associated with the subform.

redirectURL (Optional)

Page or report URL to redirect to after damaged form submission


Note: The subform should be presented in mentioned report's quick view or detail view.  

You can now access the application in live mode and use the extension. Once the extension is configured, you can highlight the car parts and enter remarks, as shown in the below image.
