Devices enrollment - Overview

Enrollment allows you to manage your organization's devices through Zoho One. Zoho One supports various enrollment methods to enroll multiple devices according to the needs of your organization. If you are currently using ManageEngine MDM or ManageEngine MDM (MSPs) for managing your devices, you can also integrate and manage them in Zoho One. Once devices are enrolled, you can assign the devices to users in Zoho One.

The two types of enrollment in Zoho one are:
  1. BYOD enrollment
  2. Corporate enrollment

BYOD enrollment

BYOD enrollment lets admins enroll employees' personal devices in Zoho One. To ensure the confidentiality of employees' personal data, a separate work profile is created on devices enrolled through the BYOD enrollment. The organization exercises total control over the work profile, but no control over the personal profile. In Android and iOS, these devices are called "Profile Owner" and "Unsupervised devices", respectively.
IT admins can enroll employees' personal devices in the following ways:

Corporate enrollment

Corporate enrollment enables admins to enroll company-owned devices in Zoho One and offers them complete control over those devices. In Android and iOS, the devices enrolled through corporate enrollment are called "Device Owner" and "Supervised devices" respectively.

Apple Configurator is a utility tool designed for enrolling corporate-owned Apple devices via USB.
Individual iOS devices are required to be enrolled as Supervised devices but cannot be enrolled with ABM/ASM.
Knox Mobile Enrollment is a streamlined enrollment service designed for enrolling a large number of corporate-owned Samsung devices.
Samsung Knox devices are required to be bulk enrolled as Device Owner.
Zero-touch enrollment is an out-of-box enrollment method designed for corporate Android devices to make the bulk enrollment process simple and secure.
Zero-touch supported devices are required to be bulk enrolled as Device Owner.
Near Field Communication (NFC) Enrollment is an enrollment method designed for quick enrollment of corporate Android devices by distributing and installing ME MDM app in the target devices using NFC (Near Field Communication).
Individual Android devices are required to be enrolled as Device Owner but cannot be enrolled with Zero-touch.
EMM token enrollment is an enrollment method designed for enrolling corporate Android devices using a QR code.
Individual Android devices are required to be enrolled as Device Owner, but cannot be enrolled with NFC or Zero-touch enrollment.
