AI Assist in Zoho Recruit brings the power of generative AI directly into your hiring workflows. Whether you’re drafting job descriptions, sending personalized candidate emails, or creating assessments, AI Assist helps recruiters work faster, with less effort.
With AI Assist, you can choose the AI provider that works best for your needs. Zia, Zoho’s own Large Language Model (LLM), is enabled by default, but you can also connect your own OpenAI account for additional flexibility.

Zoho Recruit currently supports two AI providers. You can switch between them anytime from Setup > Zia > AI Assist.

Enabling AI Assist
Go to Setup > Zia > AI Assist and enable the toggle.

Zia will be selected as the default LLM for content generation.

You can switch to Open AI's model if you wish by clicking Connect.
In the pop-up that is displayed, click Continue.
Then, click Proceed in Open AI's Data Privacy Notice.

Lastly, enter your Secret Key and click Activate Now.

This will switch AI Assist's model to Open AI.
Important Note:
- AI Assist operates based on your unique Secret Key configured in your OpenAI account.
- AI Assist will be available only if English is selected as your default language. This setting can be changed from Setup > General > Personal Settings.
- Only users with the Administrator profile can enable AI Assist. Once enabled, users with the required profile-permission will be able to view the AI Assist button. Learn More
- AI Assist can be accessed while working with Email, SMS, Messaging & Job Templates. Additionally, you can also access AI Assist while sending Emails/SMS, creating job openings, and more.
- The word count in the prompt includes all visible words and hidden characters like spaces, punctuation and special characters. Learn More
- AI Assist is only available for the United States, Europe, Australia and India regions as of now.
