How to format a table in the Show app for iOS

Format a table

A table is used to organize and structure any data effectively. Proper table formatting enhances the overall clarity and readability of the information presented to the audience. The Show app for iOS allows you to change the table presets, add a border, change the color of your table, and customize the table to your requirement.

Tap on the table in the slide and tap Format from the bottom of the screen. 
This will open the table formatting options.

The table formatting options are classified into Table, Style, Text, and Arrange.

Table

Tap the Table tab.
The formatting options include:

Change table presets

Tap More to select a preset from the options available. 


Add row/ column

  1. To add a row, tap on a cell and tap  and  to add rows to the top and bottom.
  2. To add a column, tap on a cell and tap  and  to add columns to the left and right. 
When an entire table is selected, new rows or columns will be added to the first or last.

  1. To add a horizontal footer, tap  and .
  2. To add a vertical footer, tap  and .

Alternate row/ column

  1. Toggle the Alternate Row switch to shade the alternate rows.
  2. Toggle the Alternate Column switch to shade the alternate rows.


Merge/split Cells

  1. Tap on a cell and use the pointers to select the required cells.
  2. Tap Merge Cells to combine the cells.
  3. Tap Split Cells to separate the cells.

Distribute Cells

  1. Tap Horizontal to adjust the height and width of the selected rows.
  2. Tap Vertical to adjust the height and width of the selected columns.

Style

Tap Style.

The fill and stroke formatting options will appear.

Apply Fill

Arrange

Tap the Arrange tab.
