How can you update an existing Quick Part content?
Overview
Need to change an existing Quick Part? You can replace the existing quickpart with your edited version in the document.
Prerequisites
- A Quick Part that is already created.
Steps
1. Open the document containing the Quick Part to be updated or insert it into a document.
2. Edit the Quick Part content.
3. To Update it in the Quick Part library, go to Insert tab -> Quick Parts -> Replace Existing
4. In the Replace Existing Quick Parts dialog that opens, select the Quick Part that you wish to update or replace and click Save.
5. To Append additional content to an existing Quick Part, go to Insert tab -> Quick Parts -> Append to existing
6. In the Append to Existing Quick Parts dialog that opens, choose where (either before or after) you wanted to append the selected content and Click on Save.
7. To preview how the output will appear in the document, click the Preview icon.
