Deprecation of the Zoho OAuth connector

Deprecation of the Zoho OAuth connector

Hello everyone,

At Zoho, we continuously evaluate our integrations to ensure they meet the highest standards of security, reliability, and compliance. As part of these ongoing efforts, we've made the decision to deprecate the Zoho OAuth default connector for all Zoho services that support Deluge connections.

What's changing
The Zoho OAuth default connector currently allows users to connect with multiple Zoho services using a single authentication, and it supports all scopes from these services. However, maintaining this connector introduces increasing technical complexity and security concerns. Therefore, we'll begin transitioning away from the Zoho OAuth connector starting December 31, 2025.

What you should do
Going forward, we recommend using the dedicated connectors (e.g., Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, Zoho Projects, etc.) available for each Zoho service. We've made built-in connectors available for each service to make this transition seamless.

For use cases that require access to scopes from multiple Zoho services within a single connector, we recommend creating a custom connector to meet your specific requirements.

Who is this applicable for?
This deprecation applies to all Zoho services that support Deluge connections, except Zoho Creator.

What happens next?
The deprecation will occur in a phased manner:
  1. Phase 1: Creation of new Zoho OAuth connections will be disabled on December 31, 2025, and the connector will be removed from the default services list.
  2. Phase 2: Existing connections will continue to function temporarily to ensure no disruption to your integrations. However, they'll be deprecated in a few months, with advance notice provided to users still using them. At this stage, we are estimating a minimum of 12 months before the complete sunset of this connector.
We'd like to emphasize that this change is being introduced to enhance the overall security and integrity of the entire Zoho ecosystem. To achieve this, we seek your cooperation in making the necessary updates to your integrations.

We understand that this transition may require manual effort on your part, and we assure you that ample time will be provided before the complete deprecation to help you adapt smoothly.

We request your utmost attention to this matter. Should you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team; we're here to help.

Regards,
The Zoho Deluge Team

    • Function #41: Sync Associated Subforms!

Welcome back everyone! The last custom function showed how to update a Contact with Product details from it's Related list in Deals. This week, let's look at a function that lets you update subform records in two modules simultaneously when one of them is updated. Business scenario Let's look at how subform helps in an education institution that has deployed Zoho CRM. National Public School, Austin (made up, of course!) has set up Zoho CRM and it follows the same relationship pattern of "Students",
