How do I edit the Calendar Invite notifications for Interviews in Recruit?

I'm setting up the Zoho Recruit Interview Calendar system but there's some notifications I don't have any control over.

I've turned off all Workflows and Automations related to the Calendar Scheduling and it seems that it's the notification that is sent to the Candidate and Interviewer when the "Manual Workflow Trigger" is selected.
See below screenshot.



If I select "Do Not Send" Nothing gets sent to the Candidate or Interviewer.
But if I select "Send" it seems that Zoho Calendar sends Calendar Invitations to both.

The Invite to the Candidate is only the ICS and a very plain email.
But the Invite to the Interviewer has a bit more information.


I'm confused because these Invite Notifications are handled outside of Zoho Recruit (ie Zoho Calendar) and I don't have any input on the styling of them or the trigger to send them.

The Send / Do Not Send buttons (above) are not handled in Recruit, there is no setting to enable / disable these.


Previously Recruit would handle Interview notifications internally via Workflows.
And with the Email template you associate with a Workflow you can attach the ICS file to the email.

But now if I have a workflow for Interview Confirmed, Interview Rescheduled, Interview Cancelled then we get duplicate emails to everyone.
One via the Workflow one via Zoho Calendar.

At least with the Zoho Recruit Emails I can customise the email design that are being sent, and include whatever relevant fields I need in the email.


So my question is what's the best way to handle Recruit Interview Calendar notifications?

  1. Is Workflow/Email from Recruit method old now that Recruit has developed deeper integration with Calendar?
  2. Or is the idea that everyone gets multiple email notifications?
  3. Or is something else going on here?


Regardless what happens I need to use Workflows as I want to include SMS notification to the Candidate for their Interview time along with a pre-interview reminder SMS.

But if I'm doing this then it seems unintuitive that I need to manage an SMS via a Workflow, Email via Zoho Calendar, and WhatsApp notification via a different workflow since WA cant be used in Interview Module.
